Interesting looking strap you have there. Where did it come from and any chance of a full shot?

Thanks Image

It’s a SteveoStraps Baseball Glove strap - https://www.steveostraps.com/straps-2/top-end-stuff - super soft from the off:

I wanted a Rawlings with the red patch, but I believe he does others - might try to get a black one, or Wilson, at a later date

I'll follow that up with my wildly unpopular C7. I keep trying to figure out what it is that doesn't quite get this over the top, so I will list good things first.

1-Excellent legibility. Like my Damsko, I can read this from across the room.
2-Matching black day/date wheels.
3-COSC rating. Currently running approx +2 sec a day.
4-Screw down crown
5-Missing the dreaded 9 o'clock logo.
6-2-4-6-8-10-12 Arabic numerals with the date at 3 allows for uninterrupted symmetry of said numbers around the whole dial.
So what is it about this dial? I think it comes down to the font used for the numbers. Had they used a slightly italicized version like the Oris F1 it might have better had the desired effect of the motorsports theme they were after.
Personally, the pluses far outweigh the minuses, so I will continue defiantly wearing my beligured C7.

Very nice guy, certainly the best of the military collection. How do you find it?

Cheers Ferg.

Its the CW soft touch leather I bought it on.

Been using various other straps until now and thought I'd try it back on this one.

Don't mind if you do (join in that is). Image

Useful to see the comparison between bracelet and strap; side by side (see that you've taken the Bund portion off yours).

Its good Paul.

As you'll know, 38mm is smaller than the norm of case size that I wear (usually 42mm - 45mm) but it is such a good design, with the light catcher case, that it just sits extremely well on my wrist. Its also good to have a variety in one's collection.

That it has a relatively slim bezel, therefore large(ish) dial help make it wear larger, but more importantly wearing it on the bracelet visually lengthens the lugs and also makes it wear larger. I tried it on a strap and several NATOs, on which it wore 'true to size'.

The final aspect is that, having been an Army Officer in my younger years, I trained at Sandhurst and it thus has a certain connection for me.

Leading question, are you thinking of getting one?

Not at the moment guy but who knows about future. This and the c65 vintage mkii it shares its case with are two of my favourite cw offerings for some time
