Love the pictures of the RAF Typhoon, Guy. In these, you can actually see the hand on the 30 minute dial. This is something I could never do on the one I owned :problem:
I wonder if we'll ever see another case like this?

Word at the last GTG / CW event was 'no more ceramic cases'.

I really liked the Typhoons, my favourite was the one with the yellow highlights. I never did pull the trigger on one though due to the lack of a running seconds hand.

I never really gelled with my Typhoon. I think it was the lack of a date that "did for me" in the end. I thought about the yellow one but when I was ready to pull the trigger, they had all gone. Oh well. I hadn't thought about the lack of a running seconds before but you make a good point. I wonder what the year of the chronograph is going to produce. CW will need to make something special now because I have two Omega chronos and am not really in the market for another. Time will tell.

You've omitted to mention no date either. :problem:

It was 2 and a half years ago, Guy. I was learning what I did and didn’t like so no date wasn’t as big an issue to me then. As I’ve bought more watches, mainly with date windows, I realised how important they were to me. All part of learning I suppose. I’ve since bought a watch with no running seconds (the geckota with mecha Quartz in it). Go figure! I should really try and get over my ‘no date’ affliction to be honest. After all, I do have a box full of watches with dates/day dates
