^^^ What a great photo, Graham. Ye old seadog, a-haaarrrr!
Steve The half minute which we daily devote to the winding-up of our watches is an exertion of labour almost insensible; yet, by the aid of a few wheels, its effect is spread over the whole twenty-four hours.

The C65 case and domed crystal combination is a thing of beauty.
They really need to make this model in 38mm.
Come on Mike/Adrian!!!
Thanks Ryan. I was standing up from my desk and noticed the light from my monitor casting this weird yellow glow on the C65...had to take the picture.
You would think a retro styled watch would have been introduced as a 38mm first. The 41mm fits well on smaller wrists though with the shorter lug to lug distance, although I think it would look better proportionally if the lug width were 20mm rather than 22mm.
I have always liked the C65 Ombré, but not found a strap I really liked with it. I tried the distressed CWL strap, but that’s two now that haven’t stood up to wear. So I’ve just tried my black canvas strap. And I think it works.

Thinking of getting the black canvas for my C65 Ombré myself to swap out the leather look now and again, did you ever consider trying a brown or tan vintage leather strap instead of the distressed?
I tried a vintage oak strap in brown. I didn’t keep it on for long. I think my issue was the same as I had with a too worn distressed strap - the brown strap was too much brown along with the dial. I’m liking black. One day I may try the new CWL tropic strap.
