Very nice Nigel. As an alternative to the prototype I bought that’s not a bad option at all - and at a good price too.

I noticed one the same for sale on eBay today for £399. It seems you weren’t alone...

eBay profit of £169 before fees - not bad for zero work and well over 50% profit.

nigelb001 wrote: Sat Jan 05, 2019 11:42 am New in today, wasn't expecting it till Monday, C7 Rapide quartz from current sale. I was very taken with Gary's (gaf1958) Prototype C7 COSC blue dial orange highlights but realised I would never have one. So in the sale this humble quartz version seemed like a good compromise. I really like the simplicity of the dial, colours, bracelet and overall quality as well as the fact that the logo is just the flag not the new(ish) logo. It's almost a sterile dial. :D Downers rule#2 was ignored here as I wouldn't have paid £460 for it though, but am very happy.

Looks good  I’ve ignored rule #2 also and am eagerly awaiting the auto chrono on bracelet :D

Two superb looking watches, I love the yellow on the Ascari but that Matisse is just wonderful, really wish they would produce that again

I don't think anybody can complain about lume on that!
