Apart from the Morgan LEs, this is probably my favourite C8 model. But then, given that you have a weeks worth of C8s secreted away in the attic, it might not surprise me if you have one of those as well.

It makes me wonder just how many watches in total are squirrelled away in said attic. Image I suspect that, like Kip, your garage may be built on a bedrock of watch boxes. Image
Apologies Gary, missed this...

I must admit, this is one of CWs best, and I can't understand why they are not more popular.

I didn't know that they did a c8 Morgan! I shall investigate. I am really tempted with the Al Deere limited edition, but a pending move might put pay to that.

As for the attic, alas, I am leagues away from young Kip, or indeed your good self!

That is such a good looking GMT. The ceramic bezel looks best with the white dial.

These are growing on me every day, but still not sure about the bronze cases.

How is the patina developing?

I had my own doubts about bronze too, probably influenced by pictures of watches that had so much patina it almost looked like stuff was growing on them!

I think if they are kept clean the patina will simply darken the case and give it a nice Matt finish. Mine has darkened a bit in the 5 weeks or so that I’ve owned it. So far, very pleased with this watch.

Thanks Richard. That was my concern, many of the bronze cases look like they came up on the Titanic, and is just too much for my puny brain to comprehend.

A slight darkening is most acceptable!

Sorry, the bronze patina is all very well, but green corruption, particularly around the crown where it cannot be cleaned without compromising the movement is no go, hence despite the bronze looking gorgeous in the raw state, it ain't for me.

C8 PR continuing, but strap change away from black/red stitching, which I do like but is somewhat starchy, to CW Tiber. Not convinced, it seems almost cheapo synthetic rather than leather so have ordered a Barton gingerbread to try. I believe I will also venture a CW HD webbing for something completely different as I am no way convinced I have found the right combination for an informal look. The Oak leather is also a possibility... #-o .

Been out for lunchtime and afternoon to Page and Cooper, to share some mulled wine and mince pies with a few other watch aficionados.

Thought I'd fly the CW flag by wearing my C8 Flyer PR (Dambuster), extolling the virtues of the SH21.

@STodd - cheers Steve.

Wasn't too taken with it until I got it. SH21 is awesome with a notably smooth winding action.
