Birthday threads.

Post by Thermexman »

Following on from Avo’s recent post re: Birthdays, New Members & New Watches, thought I’d just give you all something to work with to test Avo’s observations....

Not a new member!
Not a new watch!

However, it was my birthday yesterday and this member got a new Watch Book! Bit of a cliche for a watch fan but it had to be done. :D

That book was also one of my Christmas presents.

Also received “A Del Of A Life” by David Jason. Written during last years lockdown. Fantastic read if you are an OFAH fan, plus insights into his other roles too.

Ha ha. Thanks Ferg. My family made me set up an Amazon pressie list at Christmas because I always say I don’t need anything. I put this book on it and didn’t get it. So much for that idea. However, turns out my son tried but it was sold out. He surprised me with it yesterday. Must say, I like it.

Just had a look on Amazon - it looks great. Belated Happy Birthday.

Sorry we missed your birthday, Steve - as a matter of interest is the date in your forum profile? If not we can't see it of course.

Happy belated birthday! 🎉 How’s the book? I’ve had that on my Amazon list for awhile now?

Best wishes for a fabulous yesterday, Steve. :birthday:

Did you get to do anything special?

As to the book? Its a great one.

My girlfriend gifted a copy to me for the first birthday, in 2019, after we'd 'got together'. I was enormously touched and treated it that she appreciated my interest. :) :)

Enjoy it.

Thanks gents. The book looks good on a quick flick through. I’m not a great one for reading books so it might take me a while.

Guy, although I booked two days off work to give me a whole 5 days off, it was “just another day in lockdown”. My son dropped off a lovely homemade cake and I opened cards & pressies via FaceTime video call which, whilst not ideal, was quite nice.

Happy birthday, belatedly, Steve

I must go and check out that book although I worry it will cost a lot more than the price of the book (temptations!).
