How many pieces are typically made in any sort of design?
I understand LE numbers, but what would be a typical amount for a new model?

Unsurprisingly - and in common with pretty much every commercial company - CW do not release that information.

Obviously anything unsold etc gets placed into one of the sales,so less likely to pick up more popular model?

Not necessarily true. You could see a popular model returned under 60/60 showing up in the sales as Nearly New. Same for watches sent out for review.
