New C60 bracelet (MK3) work with older C60's?
New C60 bracelet (MK3) work with older C60's?
Hey all, sure that has been discussed but after some searching couldn't really find an answer. Before I plop down nearly $200, figured I'd ask. I've got about 3 C60's but two of them came with the older bracelet (w/out the quick release). I like to change my bracelets/straps around and figured if I bought a new one, I could use it on my other CW C60's.
But as the title states, wanted to make sure that the MK3 ones will indeed work with the older MK2's. I'm not sure which ones I have, but they've all got the teardrop hour hand if that helps (new logo at 9:00).
Thank you for any help you can offer.
Here's a link to what I'm looking at if it helps:

Re: New C60 bracelet (MK3) work with older C60's?
Sorry NO it will not.
That is; the C60 Trident Mk3 bracelet will only fit the C60 Trident Mk3 and beware you get the correct lug width and case size i.e. 22mm/42mm, 20mm/40mm or 20mm/38mm.
The bracelet for the C60 Trident mk2 will, subject to lug width, retro fit back onto the C60 Trident MkI, C6 Kingfisher and C600 Tri-Tech BUT the bracelets for these watches will not fit forward onto the C60 Mk2.
I recall seeing a post a few days ago, I think in the January '21 Sale thread, that mentioned CW are looking at getting fitted end links for the C60 Trident Mk2 case, that they can then fit onto the Mk3 style bracelet. That I presume though is a work in progress and it might be several months, or more, before it comes to fruition.
Hope this helps.

Sorry, I can't help you but you'd think CW would provide that information on that page wouldn't you?

Ah, thank you. Helpful. You just saved me some money. Guess I'll just need to get better at fitting those older style bracelets to my watch!Bahnstormer_vRS wrote: ↑Sun Jan 17, 2021 5:20 pm Sorry NO it will not.

Yes they do; it states C60 Mk3 (not Mk2).
However, if the OP is unsure he is welcome to ask on here for clarification.
That's what we're here for.

Yup, unfortunately the QR spring bars on bracelets are the preserve of the C60 Trident Mk3 and C65 bracelets.

Re: New C60 bracelet (MK3) work with older C60's?
I'm sure I saw a note to say that they were getting fresh/replacement end links to fit a standard bracelet. The end links appear to be joined to the bracelet by a pin and collar, so they ought to be adaptable to a different watch by changing the end link. Maybe even a flat end link would be ok.
Re: New C60 bracelet (MK3) work with older C60's?
Actually it doesn't really make that clear. It describes it as being for 'Built especially for the Trident range' no mention of that referring to current or past versions. If it doesn't fit MK1 or MK2 Tridents then it should say so. It really wouldn't be difficult to mark that statement with an asterisk and adding a footnote to clarify this particularly as this question has been asked before.Bahnstormer_vRS wrote: ↑Sun Jan 17, 2021 5:25 pmYes they do; it states C60 Mk3 (not Mk2).

Now what I would like to know is if the hybrid strap will fit a MK2.
Re: New C60 bracelet (MK3) work with older C60's?
A strap should fit any watch. That's just a matter of 20 or 22mm lug width, unless the strap is designed with a curved extension, so that it becomes more like a fitted bracelet.

It does and it looks great. I've got the first version - about as comfortable as new boots (for me anyway), but a very good looking strap. Now what I would like to know is if the hybrid strap will fit a MK2
I started out with nothing and I still have most of it left
Re: New C60 bracelet (MK3) work with older C60's?
Fitting bracelets is tricky, isn't it. It's a matter of pot luck really. You have to consider the curvature of the watch case, the design of the watch case, the position of the watch pin holes, both distance and height, so generally they aren't interchangeable. You can get straight end bracelets and mesh straps. Watchgecko do some straight end bracelets.
I actually have a Raymond Weil watch with two sets of pin holes in the lugs at different distances. It came with a curved leather bracelet with curved pins.

C60 Bracelet Trident Mk 3 42mm
Clear enough in my book.
You don't need small print or asterisks to say what it won't fit.

Well, clearly you do or the OP wouldn't have needed to ask the question in the first place. Besides it seems as if there is some difference of opinion anyway. Ergo it would be helpful if CW would clarify the matter.Bahnstormer_vRS wrote: ↑Sun Jan 17, 2021 6:43 pmSlowLoris wrote: ↑Sun Jan 17, 2021 5:54 pmActually it doesn't really make that clear. I'll concede the point on the OP asking for clarification.
"Besides it seems as if there is some difference of opinion anyway.". Where's that?
As I read this thread the only will it or won't it opinion that has been offered is mine.
