A little bored this morning and I wondered what the C65 Automatic in red would look like without faux lume. I think the black one is okay but the red bezel version makes the faux lume stand out too much in my opinion. So I made one without it.
I like this look much better. I may try one with gilt around the markers and on the hands.
The bezel underline on the C60 Blue and the C60 Elites also bothers me. In my opinion it was design over function and in this case function should have one out. I know that there is an argument that the dial looks unbalanced without having the extended underline but I don't think so.
Anyone else got anything they would change?

Re: Playing Around with Design
I think in general I prefer a definite point on the hour and minute hands, compared with, say a C65 baton. It's not a deal breaker by any means, just a preference. I wear my vintage trident diver a lot.

The white lume with red bezel on the C65 is a huge improvement! I’d find the C65 auto more appealing if the black dial/bezel model had white lume over the faux vintage. Heck, I’d like to see the blue dial/bezel model with white lume.rkovars wrote: ↑Tue Jan 05, 2021 5:25 pmA little bored this morning and I wondered what the C65 Automatic in red would look like without faux lume. I’ve realized, oddly enough, that while my C65 trident Vintage has vintage lume and I love it, I don’t find vintage lume on other watches as appealing.
The bezel underline on the C60 Blue and the titanium models is an interesting thing. I never in a million years would have even noticed how it’s extended slightly had someone not pointed that out. It would have flown completely under my radar. As such, I have no opinion on it either way. Both options look perfectly fine to me.

Quick effort on the blue. I like the way that it pops.

I am loving my C65 Auto with vintage lume and red bezel!
The white lume is not so bad either and pictured

It is surprising what such a small change makes to the appearance. Good work!

Now just put the name where it should be and everything will be great! :0)

I think a red bezel C65 would look amazing with gilt hands and markers, and maybe a gilt triangle on the bezel.I like this look much better. I may try one with gilt around the markers and on the hands.
