Interesting to look at those results, I'm amazed at the poor showing for the C60 Sapphire. It created quite a storm when it first launched.
Yes, but not necessarily for the reasons CW would would have appreciated.
Agreed.

However, fun fact, the sapphire dial in the C60 Abyss SH21 is achieved by a PVD smoked process, not a coloured disc as used on the C60 Sapphire Blue.

The best CW watch of the year is without a doubt the C60 Sapphire. The intricate level of finishing at an affordable price point holds this design up above the rest. I have voted for this despite the difficult decision to trade the one I had due to the “one size fits all” mantra that sadly didn’t fit me in a way I would be happy with. It is unbelievably attractive with a smorgasbord of design features which will appeal to a very wide range of buyers, as apposed to the SC which will appeal to a much narrower range of buyers, as interesting as it is.

The thing with the C60 Sapphire is that it's just another Trident variation. Don't really think that's very significant for CW as they've already done it to death whereas the Compressor was a first for CW and the "first genuine compressor for 50 years".

For me the supercompressor is the one. These are rare birds, and for CW to construct a new one is indeed special.

Mods, can this thread be 'sticky' or pinned to the top to get more exposure.

63 votes so far seems a low turnout?

Good point, but I think the winner has been decided already.

Although not my choice. Couldn’t decide, so no vote from me.

Voted for C60 sapphire, although a great watch, not my favourite but it's the one that got me into CW watches. I can certainly say without the advertising I wouldn't of bought my 1st CW watch the C60 trident Ombre and could it be that it was a case of just getting people that didn't know about CW to look, and then like me hooked on other designs.

This is the reason my vote went to the Sapphire.

While the SC is no doubt a decent technical achievement, if we're talking about significance to CW, then their first mass-advertised watch has to be their star of the year.

I've had a couple of people mention the advert to me, so it's definitely not going unnoticed.

A little disappointing to see only 71 votes cast given the (nominal) size of the forum though....

I think it was a one-horse race more or less from the start. Had it been a close run thing you might have seen more votes.

Then again, a more varied line-up might have produced a wider vote. :escape:

A significant increase on the 52 who voted in last years also one horse race.

Whilst ineligible I can't help but wonder how many votes may have been cast for the C60 Blue LE.

The past 5 years votes are:

2020 - 71
2019 - 52
2018 - 71
2017 - 71
2016 - 49

I have always wondered why the vote totals are always so low. It doesn't seem to matter whether it is a close race or not.

It is not hard to simply click on a model and vote. I understand if you cannot decide, but I have never grasped why so many simply do not vote. :?

I’m using Tapatalk and didn’t even realise there was an option to click. Maybe people are using something similar. I’ve noticed it on other forums. The voting option doesn’t seem to be there.
