Agree and I've had plenty of moans over the last few years, but tend to vote with my wallet now.

For me to buy any of the recent offerings that are over £1k the watch needs to be perfect, as does the company/service and I just don't see it I'm afraid.

Best wishes to the people that like them, but to me the value and to a degree the attraction in a CW is in the under £500 category and a quick search on the website tells you everything about what the company is doing - just 9 watches and all C3 variants, which I suspect will be gone by the January sale.
Current collection incl Alpina, Breitling, Bulova, Citizen, Eterna, Hamilton, Oris, Rado, Raymond Weil, Rolex, Seiko, Tag, Tudor & Victorinox.

Remember that this sits in the C65 line. Is it a diver? Is it a chronograph? It is both. There were many watches just like this in the late 60s and 70s. Very colorful with a lot going on. It follows that esthetic very well. A better comparison would be the Bulova Deep Sea Chrono from the 70s. There are a ton from that period in this style. Some more colorful some not. I admit, it isn't to everyone's taste but it is a really good crack at what it is trying to be.

As far as price goes, with no quartz option, it is what it is. It is in the ballpark of other brands with Swiss chrono movements.

Farer Cresta on leather strap $1995 - interestingly, you can get a glimpse of what the C65 would look like with no minute marks on the bezel.

Yema Yachtgraf $2399 - This one has an ETA 7750 in it.

Current CW = C65 Trident Vintage GMT, C65 Dartmouth, C60 Trident Ombre COSC LE, C65 Super Compressor

Cheers for posting that link Guy

Good to see some proper wrist shots, but all it's done for me is confirmed that it's far too busy, especially around the outer edges.

Swap the bezel insert for the more simple C65 auto one and it may have become a little more attractive.

Loved this comment from Loupe 19 (with some paraphrasing) - With this watch the C65 has just gone Roger Moore...

I tend to agree with you, Chris

Prices creeping out of my range for CWs. For these amounts, I’ll be looking elsewhere. Looks like I may have bought my last CW, not that my sales will affect their business that much.

It’ll be the sales etc for me now. Just need to find the 316L Black at a decent price to complete my 316L collection and I’m done for now.

Decent, a little busy, but I think they should have chosen orange OR red (I prefer the former) not both. I'm done with mechanical watches, so I don't need to worry about being tempted by this (or any other future CW.)

I've just been reading over 250 comments to CW's post about the C65 Chronograph over on Instagram, that are overwhelmingly positive, with no detractors relating to the watch in terms of style and design.

There are only 62 comments at the moment, mainly positive though about the look although I have seen the word...busy.
Some of the comments are happy that the logo is at 12 rather than pointing out anything else.

How to make a busy watch less busy, put it on a busy blue dot background

Overall I like the vibe of it, but a different bezel for me would make it more of a winner. Nothing wrong with a range though that includes something for everyone. I wonder if they would consider another colourway in future, Maybe a black white grey with a pop of colour somewhere would be good.

Is there more than one post Guy, as the one you linked to only seems to have 62 comments?

As to the watch, whilst acknowledging that it’s useless as a yacht timer (as are the majority of other mechanical watches intended as such), I like it! :)

To me it does what it set out to be. A retro chronograph dive watch using the colour scheme often seen when such watches were originally issued.

Under other circumstances it would have likely been released in time for summer.

Would I buy it at that price? No, but that is more a reflection of how I choose to spend my money on watches, than the merits of the watch.

Sorry chaps.

Early morning brain fade. 63ish posts, not 250+. D'oh

I was wondering if there might be two posts but there aren't.
