Loupe - New Releases and Promo Code

Post by Thegreyman »

A letter has just dropped through my letterbox from CW - welcome to the new issue of Loupe. Well there was actually no magazine or link to it in the letter, just the letter itself :?

Anyway, the letter refers to new releases:
C65 Super Compressor
C60 Lympstone - MOD licensed tribute to the Royal Marines and their training base in Devon
C60 Trident mk3 Bronze in "everyman" 40mm size 8)

To soften the blow of the price increases, there is a new promo code 100LOUPE18 which is valid until 31 October 2020, giving £100 off any order of £500 or more.

Thanks for posting this Patrick.

Interesting that CW have selected the C60, over and above the C65, for the Royal Marines watch.

So it looks like the lack of production of movements has again prevented the chronograph model(s) being released. A shame as nothing else in CW is grabbing my attention presently.

Not necessarily Mick.

According to Patrick the letter mentions three new models.

This time last year, + or - a month or so, CW released at least double that number.

There may well be more to come.

It appears that because of a tech/communications glitch that some mailers/emails went out too soon so the cat is now out of the bag.

Yes there will be some new releases that will be up on the website on the 28th. The new Loupe should start landing on /about the 28th. The voucher code and further details/links will not be activated until then as well.

Cw is investigating why these mailers went out to soon.

Consider this topic a teaser for what is to come!! :D

I'm really intrigued by the C65 Super Compressor. I'm inclined to assume this will be a very vintage inspired design. I wonder if it will be a true super compressor case, or if super compressor is just referring to a dual crown design with internal bezel.

I've always suspected that CW would include other cases in their military line. In my opinion, the C60 was a natural next choice.

I've been waiting on the Super Compressor since Chris teased it at the Bristol GtG last November. I was hoping it would arrive in time for the Summer Big Birthday celebrations but as it didn't I was forced into the Al Deere...and a Bronze C60. It was to be my next watch but there maybe something else coming to take my cash that I want even more which may push it back further, oh for infinite money. Or at least more than I have!

Oh does that mean a green dial C60 then...

Would be the logical colour for the watch.

I have seen the Super Compressor and it is wonderful !!
I was lucky to see and hold a prototype in February at the Showroom.

On a side note...since I'm way out here in Cali, I got one of the complimentary Loupe Magazine copies. Is there a way to subscribe. I may have missed it, but I can't find the link or order form.
