Re: To Repair or Not
Checked the website and service is still shut. I would expect they are building a bit of a back log so when they re open ill give them a call and see what their time scales are.
Ive had cause to speak to their customer service dept a few times recently and i do feel sorry for them, especially at this time, dealing with Joe public is a thankless task.

Re: To Repair or Not
I'm totally with Guy here, just send it back. CW will send you a returns envelope and it will go back tracked and insured. They will fix it and you will get it back in nice working order. The chances of anything going wrong are small, take some photos if you are concerned.Bahnstormer_vRS wrote: ↑Sat Aug 01, 2020 7:42 pmYou could get run over by a bus crossing the road.Foxman50 wrote:That’s why i’m reluctant to send it, it can get lost in transit, damaged in transit, damaged at CW. It is no longer available, though maybe they have spares should it go wrong. Maybe i worry to much.Bahnstormer_vRS wrote: ↑Sat Aug 01, 2020 7:15 pm If you do a search on the Interweb, you will be able to find reports of issues with other manufacturers, including the likes of Rolex and Omega.

Re: To Repair or Not
One thing to do before you contact CW, is to get ownership of the watch registered to you.Foxman50 wrote:Ok ok i think i get the point, will send it once their service is open again. Thanks all
I can't find it right now, but if you look on the Warranty Card there is a web link for it.

Re: To Repair or Not

Guy
I will have a look on the website for how to change ownership, thanks for the heads up
Re: To Repair or Not
So the website says
“Is the 60|60 Guarantee transferable if I pass my watch on?
Yes, provided the new owner can provide suitable evidence of their ownership, such as the original purchase documents.”
Not sure what the original purchase documents are?

Re: To Repair or Not
All you should need to get the watch repaired is the booklet that contains purchase date, serial no, model code etc in it.
This is generally found at the back of the owners manual, although some models come with little cards.
I've had warranty work done successfully with this info alone.

I’ve been here for a few years now and read a lot of posts, I have come to the conclusion that I must be the most luckiest inmate here. I’ve owned over 20 CW’s over the years and I can’t recall ever having an issue

Re: To Repair or Not
Is that a plastic Credit Card size?
If so, if you look at the bottom left it refers to Registering as a new owner by going to christopherward.co.uk/cservices/60-60-guarantee.
If however you go to this address it diverts to https://www.christopherward.com/60-guarantee.html which I think you have found already and which doesn't have the expected link to 'Register as a New Owner'.

That little warranty card that came with the watch should suffice.Foxman50 wrote:So the website says
