July Sale
Re: July Sale
Very disappointed with the sale this time around. Missed the initial rush due to work and then nothing else added. Was pinning my hopes on a C9 AM limited edition as had saved up the pennies.
Oh well, back to flea bay.

The C5 Malvern 595 on Milanese has just been delivered and dispatch email received too for the C65 Trident Diver on Bracelet... can't wait to try it on laterThat's fair enough, no massive rush, just wondered if I'd actually missed something, but the order and payment have gone through. Looking forward to both, but that one in particular... thanks

Re: July Sale
I bought a Malvern 595 handwinder with tan strap which I received this morning. I ordered a gold one, as nearly all my watches are steel. It's easily the least decorated watch I have with just 2 hands, and a painted dial. The hands are gold, but picked up as almost black in the photo.
Anyway, I tried to put a deployment clasp on the strap, but the strap loop around the spring bar seemed too thick to attach it to the clasp, so instead I have fitted a black alligator strap, which is on a deployment, and I think the black is better than the tan. I am not sure about the logo placement on this - I think it's the length of the name Christopher Ward. It's not the name per se, as Raymond Weil never get any criticism. Maybe simply Ward, or C Ward would work better. F.P. Journe include full stops, I note. I already have a bronze trident and the logo isn't a problem at all on that, but the Malvern has no distractions on the dial at all. Anyway, I have added a pic of the watch.
I have also ordered the trident diver 65 on back order. If I had been quicker I could have had the bracelet option. At the time I was considering buying a speedmaster, and I still am to be honest - but it's just so hard to commit nearly £4000 for one watch.
Finally, I bought an 18mm cordovan leather strap in dark drown in the sale. I already had one in the light brown/honey. I think they are among the best straps I have seen. They wear and age beautifully, and the bader clasps they come with are so elegant. Not cheap, but well worth it.

@redmonaco
I got a bronze trident last time around, but on the blue hybrid strap. The hybrid strap is actually now on a blue Raymond Weil chrono, with the trident currently sporting assorted NATOs.

Re: July Sale
I've noticed that if you search for "C65 Trident", the C65 Trident Diver on Brown strap, is still listed at the sale price... just in case anyone still looking. It is on pre-order until 25 July though!

Re: July Sale
Sounds promising. It won't let me track my order when I put the details in but I have noticed that the pending transaction on my card has disappeared so I'm hoping the card get charged in the next couple days and the watch send out!
