Considering purchasing the C65 Dartmouth

Post by Heboil »

Hi everyone.

1st post here. I have been looking for a blue-faced watch to scratch the itch. The C65 Dartmouth may be calling my name. Many years ago I used to have a Precista PRS14 and I have missed it. This would help fill that void a little. I do have a few questions that I would be looking for some guidance or assistance with.
  • Does the crystal have any AR coating? If not, is the crystal highly reflective?
  • I have read the "horror story" about water getting inside...I'm not a swimmer and I don't go int he ocean... so I'm not too worried but what is the general consensus?
  • I noticed on a Youtube review that the arrow at the top of the bezel wasn't centered (and CW sent it out for review?!). I have noticed another one on an Instagram feed being off center. Is this a common QC problem?
  • And what about all these sales I hear about? Anything of substance coming up?
I have basically fallen for the watch. I like buying used in case I flip, but this isn't a watch that I will have much luck buying used (a couple might come up in a span of months). So buying new it may be. Just looking for some answers first.

TIA.

I have the black version and it’s hardly been off my wrist since it arrived. Enjoy it once it arrives.

I really like the black version too, but I'm trying to keep it varied. This refills the blue hole for me.

I sure hope I love it. I just paid a 19% hit to DHL for customs and tax... in Canada.
