“Spirit of the Time” - an artistic photo competition.
You will know that we have been running our informal "Member Photo of the Month" contest for some time now, albeit with a recent pause while waiting for the forum software upgrade.
This competition is a little different. We are looking for the photograph that “embodies the spirit of your chosen Christopher Ward watch in the most interesting and artistic way.”
Each photo must be of a single Christopher Ward watch. You may photograph your watch in natural or artificial light, indoors or outdoors, with or without props, and you are very welcome to use any “digital darkroom” applications such as Photoshop; however, you may not alter the shape, base colour or configuration of any key elements such as the dial, hands and logo.
To validate your entry you must add the model or variant code of your watch. These can be found in The Christopher Ward Archive.
The competition runs until midnight BST (1900 EDT) on Tuesday 30th of June. A maximum of three entries per member is permitted. You may remove entries in order to add others, until the closing date.
The competition is open to all members of the Christopher Ward Forum. Members of the Admin Team may post entries, but will not be eligible for any prizes. The Admin Team will decide on up to five finalists and the Forum will then be able to vote to select the winner in a poll which will run for one week. Prizes will be announced soon: they will be small but worth having, and will have some sort of horological connection.
Comments will not be allowed on this competition thread and will be deleted, but there is a separate thread for members to comment if they wish.
Have fun...and good luck!

Just an example, not intended to be prescriptive. I took an "OK" photo (nothing great) and just did a bit of work with exposure settings and filters in Camera+
What you do and how you do it is up to you.
