Reminds me of the Acan.
If I'm honest, I'm not sure on them..although the GMT does look better with the splash of orange

Interesting that these are both released in 40mm.

With the C60 Sapphire having been released recently in 40mm as well; is 40mm the new 42mm? :-k

I agree that the blue GMT with the orange hand does look good. I’m out of the market for one of these now, but I think it will be a good addition to the CW catalogue.

I think that is pretty much what I expected to see, Guy. When there was only the choice between 38 mm and 42/43 mm, people tended to go more naturally for the larger size. However, I think a lot of people have come to the conclusion that 40 mm is more of a sweet spot.

I was having the same thoughts. Does it confirm that 40mm is the biggest seller? If so, I’m pleased they previously made variants in 42/43mm as that suits my preferences better.

Nah... there's insufficient contrast between the black and blue.

Now it they'd done something similar but with a steel bezel like the C60 Sapphire then it would be of genuine interest, at least to me.

I don't mind the black bezel....but prefer the blue bezel/ blue dial for my purchase dollars. Either way the loss of the 42mm size is the deal breaker for this CW customer

I'd prefer a lighter colour bezel.

I wondered if it was to make up for there not being a red bezel available in 40mm.

Is it safe to assume that future C60 limited editions will be produced in only 40mm?

Doubt it, as we have yet to have a Limited Edition in 40mm.

Both these Black/Blue Tridents and the C60 Sapphire (I guess you are referring to) are open edition pieces.

I think what today's release of 40mm Tridents shows is; be prepared for anything.

I too dislike blue/black, preferring contrasting colours such as blue/orange or black/red. But CW has that covered too on the whole. Nor would I care about 40 vs 42, taking strict account of integrated design/aesthetic.

Something for everyone?

From a purely personal (and probably selfish) point of view I am hoping that there are some 42mm sizes in the near future (especially in the Sapphire). Not just because of the slightly larger case and face (as I have small wrists) but most of my CW watches are of this size and their lug widths are 22mm. Over the last couple of years I have purchased several QR straps so changing the strap, and thus the look of the watch, can be done very quickly. With all these straps I would rather keep buying watches with a 22mm lug width so I can change the appearance of them. So until they start bringing out larger watches I think my wallet will be staying closed.
Cheers

Or maybe given it the "Cameron" treatment!! :0)
