From CW: It takes 40 separate processes to make the see-through sapphire dial of the new C60 Sapphire. A procedure that delivers a material that’s not only beautiful and scratch-resistant but also incredibly thin (0.6mm thickness). Using lab-grown sapphire on the dial not only lets you see the workings of the movement but gives you a flash of colour every time you look at the watch.

Have you got a link for that?

Can't find it on CW's website.

Diameter: 40mm, Height: 12.95mm, Weight: 83g - £795 on strap, £895 on bracelet - Preorder for early May.
Well that looks like my hurdles of price, case height and diameter have all been overcome....darn I need to find a good reason not to buy one now!
How about - “nice watch, but on reflection I think I will pass, given we are in a global pandemic which will lead to a very deep recession. I will wait 12 months and pick one up at a bargain price if I haven’t seen a more attractive bargain by then. Besides I still have plenty of better watches to wear in the meantime”. :)

Spoilsport

Come on Neil, when did logic ever apply to this habit!

I will wait and see more photos and weigh up the options, I guess I can always sell one to make way for it.

Resistance is futile..

This may not be the dial for me but I want that bezel on my regular C60 40mm.

This looks really interesting. With the steel bezel it’s got a very industrial vibe about it.

Based upon these glimpses I also think the blue hybrid has to be the strap of choice, it really complements the watch very well.

Thanks for posting the photos. It’s doing nothing for me (yet) :). It’s currently shouting ‘novelty’ at me rather than a quality, unique watch. The price point looks good, though. I’m definitely not seeing this in the ‘elite’ price bracket, but looks reasonable priced alongside the rest of the C60 range

It's a regular model so not an LE. Water resistance is 600m.
Thank you. I could have assumed the WR but couldn't increase the size of previous photos sufficiently to see the rating on the dial.

Voicover sounds a bit like the guy who does the Watchfinder vids on YouTube!?
Totally agree! with a bit of Gordon Ramsey thrown in. But hey, I'm a foreigner and maybe missing accent nuances.

I really like the bezel design. I still don't like the hour hand or the word mark.

Funny how different tastes are, isn't it? I love everything about this (from what we've seen so far) except the bezel. That bit feels a bit unfinished/bare when compared with something like the Elite...

Since it is an open series watch and is available in 40mm, we'll have to wait and see if it sells well enough to be offered in the 42mm size.

Other than that, I do like it. I've always liked transparent dial or skeleton watches.

I didn't know that the indexes are secured by screws. I thought they were glued to the dial. One of the videos showed counter-sink screws on the underside of the sapphire dial.

I think it is a very good looking watch. I do like a coloured bezel myself, but the ss one seems to work on this.

Seems to be fairly priced as well.

I also prefer the ceramic coloured bezel but this ss bezel, in my opinion, adds to the elegance of the blue tint sapphire.
