C65 GMT Worldtimer
Re: C65 GMT Worldtimer
I’m quite liking it.
It’s amazing how a small change to the baton markers, subtle changes to the fonts used and a bit of colour swap make the whole watch appear so much more retro; true 60s styling. Is it me, or does the case/lug area also look a bit more cushion in geometry too? I think the screw down crown will be reassuring for those who feel the current C65s crowns are too delicate, but I do feel that the black webbing strap would be improved with some yellow stitching. The bracelet option is amazing though.
I hope this will be the first in a wider range of more retro-styled and colourful offerings, but I’m also keeping fingers crossed that CW don’t forget their smaller case sizes as well.

I like it.
I'd have preferred to see "GMT WORLDTIMER" on the face instead of "WATER RESISTANT" but I'm sure they've done their research and know what sells best.

It's not for me - somehow strikes me as very busy and yet somehow still boring.

Hmmm, is that right? Did they not handle the C8 UTC....sproughton wrote: ↑Fri Mar 27, 2020 11:14 am A nice write up from Fratello below:

Thanks Guy...clearly i need to spend some time with the C65 range!Bahnstormer_vRS wrote: ↑Fri Mar 27, 2020 12:19 amCase is the same 41mm as other C65 Trident Diver watches, Lance.Viognier wrote:41mm size is interesting.
Not my choice to purchase but looks best on solid black hybrid or camel straps IMO
The interesting bit is that the bezel is oversized at 42mm (rather like the C65 Dartmouth). Gives a bit more space for the names of the Cities.

Re: C65 GMT Worldtimer
Looking at the GMT Worldtimer page, all models are currently showing pre-order for late April suggesting they don't have any in the UK. I didn't check this first thing today, so don't know whether they had any initial stock for the launch.
You would like to think that CW are being cautious and realistic with this timeframe and it's worst case etc, but this model may also be pushed back further due to what's happening around the world.

Current collection incl Citizen, G-Shock, Rolex, Seiko, Sinn & Tag.

Re: C65 GMT Worldtimer
Looking at the official pics rather than the official video I watched yesterday, the bezel still looks a mess. Looks like it's not finished. A shame, because without the messy bezel it would be a nice watch.
