CW Repair Service and QC?

Post by Leon O » Sat Mar 07, 2020 5:07 pm

How reliable is the CW Repair Service and quality control?

I sent in my C7 Rapide Quartz (purchased during 1/2 price sale) because the second hand was missing the minute markers and demonstrating backlash. I even sent a video showing the second hand moving a half second and then 1 1/2 seconds to catch up. They even thanked me for the video, saying they would reset the hands.

I just received the Rapide back, and it still has the same problem. It should have been easily identified by QC if they had spent 2 minutes watching the second hand go around the dial.

Should I give CW a 2nd shot at the repair, or just return it? The Rapide nicely fills a spot in my small collection, but I don't want to get involved in a long, drawn out repair process.

I might consider calling CW and ask to speak with the head of repair services to review your watch
