What's Your Favorite Quartz CW Watch?
What's Your Favorite Quartz CW Watch?
What is your favorite Quartz CW watch? Being newly exposed to the brand, I am still learning the various models.
I'm finally realizing that quartz watches are a better fit for my lifestyle than automatics. Thanks,
Leon

Re: What's Your Favorite Quartz CW Watch?
C7 Rapide Chrono White Panda dial or C3 Chrono MK1 champagne dial are my two faves.
If you’re looking for a CW Quartz, act fast as forum speculation is they are exiting the quartz watch marketplace to focus on automatic and handwind movements only.
Keep an eye on the nearly new sale section as a few popped up earlier this week.

Its not so much Forum speculation Lance, but a stated CW objective made by CEO Mike France at one or more of the CW Events / GTG held in 2019, that in the long term CW will concentrate on Mechanical movement watches.
As to current and past quartz powered CW watches details may be found in the CWArchives
My favourite? Of those I currently own, a tricky choice, but probably my W7 BBMF

Re: What's Your Favorite Quartz CW Watch?
There were certainly strong hints from Mike France at the Bristol GTG in November that an end to quartz production was in sight. I don’t remember any specific time frame being mentioned, but I would not expect to see very much in the way of new watches from now on.
As was mentioned on this earlier thread about quartz, they lend themselves very well to chronographs.
I currently have three and would class them as favourites. (Links to CW Archive entries)
C3 Malvern Mk1
C70 BE 1925 (Ascari) Chronometer
C70 DBR1

Re: What's Your Favorite Quartz CW Watch?
My favourite Quartz CW watch is my only CW watch - the C7 Rapide Quartz. Love this watch and it is my grab-and-go watch. I love the colours, legibility, the almost sterile dial and the fact that there is no CW logo apart from the twin flags. Even though I am reducing my collection significantly this is a keeper.

Re: What's Your Favorite Quartz CW Watch?
I have two CW quartz, and my favourite is my MkI Rapide C7 with a white dial - got it 10 years ago and still looks stunning. It can be worn with a t-shirt or a 3 piece suit with ease.
I see the C7 quartz models are no longer on sale - is this just a clearance or is it permanent?
My white one was exactly like this except for a white dial with silver bezel, why can't CW revert to such elegance for the next one?

Re: What's Your Favorite Quartz CW Watch?
Thank you all for the response, pictures, and the heads up. I'll probably focus on the quartz models in my future searches. I usually do not look for chronographs, but will certainly consider a quartz model, especially if they may become scarce. At times I kick my self for not picking up a panda during the half price sale. I also like the same model in the racing green color.

For everyday use C4 Peregrine:
Looks good on both bracelet and the old fitted C70 straps - sadly no longer available
Despite looking a bit blingy it stands up to wear and tear really well.
For when there is no chance of damage C70 VW :
I love it but it just has so many potential points of damage that I can't bear to expose it to everyday wear, even though it rarely gets worn I can't part with it either!
Cheers,
Paul
PS, neither picture is mine as I am not in a position to take any right now so borrowed off the interweb!
