A beautiful watch comprises many things. But the marriage of its many dimensions is a critical consideration. There is a kind of alchemy at work, and when it's right...it's just so right. In other words, the outcome is equal to the sum of the parts. So kids, never fail to overlook any one dimension, the results can be, er, interesting. That Swiss timepiece could look like something that Mary Shelly had conceived.

Leaking the pre-production photos for the next generation Trident Chronograph will not make you a popular chappie in Maidenhead.

Basically, I'm for anything that gets you through the night. Be it prayer, tranquilizers or a bottle of Jack Daniels, Frank Sinatra

Brings to mind one of the online “chats with Chris” a few years ago when IIRC the Trident Pro chronograph was being discussed -Amor Vincit Omnia wrote: ↑Sun Feb 16, 2020 10:52 am Leaking the pre-production photos for the next generation Trident Chronograph will not make you a popular chappie in Maidenhead.
Something along the lines of “that’s taller than my wife”, as the response from the young Welsh lad, when Chris mentioned the dimensions!

The currently available Spinnaker Picard is a fairly substantial piece.

Re: Size is important
Just took a look at the link you added. That is a genuine beast, way way too big for my tastes. Twenty-five mm thick, not to mention 47mm diameter. The crown is completely out of proportion, too. Like I said in the OP, it's the marriage of all these measurements that make for a great watch. I guess in every lovely watch there's a bit of finesse at work.Bahnstormer_vRS wrote: ↑Sun Feb 16, 2020 8:22 pm The currently available Spinnaker Picard is a fairly substantial piece.
Does melancholy count as two of your five daily servings?
