C8 UTC has disappeared from the website

Post by albionphoto » Tue Jan 21, 2020 11:01 pm

First we had the C8 UTC steel disappear and now it seems the C8 UTC PVD has gone too. It looks like aviation watches have fallen out of favour. What do you think should replace the C8 UTC?

That's a good question.

CWL have stated that they are going to revamp the aviation line in 2021. It's not known if they are going to use a C8 case with added 'light-catcher' features or a modified C1, C60, or C65 case. They have said they are considering consolidating the number of cases.

I speculate they will introduce a redesigned UTC, in some form or another.

The C8 UTC has indeed been discontinued and was on sale at 50% off in the January sale at the beginning of this month, and is now on there again yesterday and today. There is still one left on the site last time I checked (earlier today).

If you're interested, check out the clearance page.

There was two but I bought one of them. I love that watch and at half price, it had to be done.

Now, just got to break it to the wife.....

All the best, The Doc.

A GMT perhaps but a Worldtimer? I have one and like it. A number of them showed up in the recent sale and so that may have been the last chance to buy. Due to their size they probably weren't the most popular watch but they were/are distinctive.
