Going back to the OP’s CW rivals listed - Raymond Weil too expensive; the Hydroconquest to me is just ugly due mainly I think the handset and those oversized numerals; the Hammy I think is the best brand/value option of the 4 and looks decent; the Certina not for me decent value but the Hammy better.

The Oris Aquis a lovely watch and I’ve tried on the green version however in conclusion I can’t see past the Trident for quality up there with the Aquis imo, superior vfm and great range of colours/sizes and specs(GMT/COSC etc).

I've found that most Oris watches are very thick in appearance (not sure about wearability. How do you feel ?
