The Trident mk3 does not wear large for it's 42mm size, I am sure you will find it fits you well.

As others have said, I also think you will be fine with the 42mm version. However, don’t forget that the red bezel is also available in the 38mm case size. I have the Mk2 trident in the 38mm size and that also suits my 7.25 inch wrist, being particularly comfy. IMO the the slight disadvantage with the 38mm size, is that in dark conditions the lume is not quite as bright as the bigger versions.

Do please keep us updated on your eventual decision.

As a further update, just in case you are undecided:

I have attached 3 images to compare sizes on 7.25 inch wrist, my wrist size plus or minus a bit depending upon conditions:
1) is my Mk2 38mm Trident white dial black bezel.
2) is my Mk3 40mm Trident, blue dial and bezel.
3) is my Mk3 42mm Trident, red bezel, black dial.

All three wear perfectly fine, the 40mm case size being my favourite all round.

Wow thank you for this excellent size comparison. I'll be getting a C60 in March after my bonus at work. I'll then post it here, whatever I decide. Thanks again.

You own both the 40mm and 42mm Mk IIIs?

Do you mind giving a test of the bezel actions for me? I've heard from various sources that the 42mm has the best action of the 3 sizes. It doesn't suffer from the play the others have and it feels high-quality. It's having an impact on my future purchase decision so any help would be great. Thanks. :D

In respect of the bezel actions, I initially bought the all black 40mm immediately upon its launch. So I can compare my three MK3 watches bezel action wise:

My black 40mm bezel has most side to side (lateral play), and it has a more “clicky” sound to it when turning. My newer blue 40mm bezel has slightly less lateral play and a slightly smoother tuning action (less clicky).
My 42mm red bezel trident by comparison definitely has the best bezel action of the 3, with hardly any play and the smoothest bezel action.

So my experience supports what you have heard. For me personally, I am happy with he bezel actions on all three watches as that bit of play does not bother me, though I realise that it does cause issues with some people. In fact, overall (ignoring colour choices), if I was only going to keep one of the watches, for me it would be the 40mm size, as for my 7.25 inch wrist if offers me the best compromise of looks and comfort.

Thank you for that. I did ponder if they could've improved the 40mm a bit after launch so maybe, in-fact, they actually did. It's pretty hard to know unless you own multiple versions like yourself. My wrist is the same size as yours and I also prefer 40mm. The 42mm is noticeably heavier so that's something I'll have to consider. :)

Weight wise, with two links removed from each bracelet, the 42mm size weighs 178g, the 40mm size 164g, so about 8% lighter. On the CW soft black leather strap, the 40mm weighs just 93g.
