Help Understanding Repair Invoice

Post by Marcus-Garrett »

I recently returned my C60 Trident COSC 600 to CW for a repair (from USA to 1 Park Street, Maidenhead), but am not sure how to diagnose what the invoice states is being done to my watch. Can anybody offer a translation/explanation?

Here is a copy of the text of the emailed invoice:

Item Sku Qty Subtotal
S & R: Watch-head SR-C60-43-5DA-SWK-SAV-HEAD-SAV-STRAP 1 -£60.83

Head
1 x SAV Generic Head £0.00 SAV-HEAD

Straps
1 x SAV Generic Strap £0.00 SAV-STRAP

Repair
REP CWC00M4

REP CWC00M4

Any help is appreciated.

Most of the details are simply the company’s reference codes for the watch head and strap that you sent back, hence they have an invoice value of £0.00. ie, no charge back to you!

The reference code for the actual repair, CWCOOM4, is something that you’ll have to ask CW about, if you want to know what they’re actually doing. The important part for you is the price of £60.83.

Hope this helps.

Welcome to the forum / asylum.

The explanation from @Thermexman - is correct, most of the invoice is CW's coding for your watch.

The important bit appears to be the actual repair with a code of CWC00M4.

Clearly CW know what this means but @Marcus-Garrett what is the fault with the watch that you have asked CW to repair?

That's pretty disappointing from CW. Any invoice should at least help the customer understand what action has been taken and what has been fixed. Invoices with internal process or accounting references without plain English summary aren't helpful at all to customers (especially when trying to work out what you've paid for)

What did CW say when you asked them to explain what meant what on the invoice ? I should think they'd know more than us.

Thank you all for the help.

I am not unhappy with CW. They have been very helpful getting my Trident COSC back to them in the u\UK and keeping me informed of the work they're doing on my watch.

I was simply curious if anybody knew what all of the jargon from the invoice meant.

Waiting for the return shipping info from CW, who covered the cost of the shipping and repair, as the watch is under warranty.

CW has been very helpful.

If this is a warranty repair only, you will end up with a zero cost invoice when the work is complete.

I have one for one of my watches, but there doesn't ever seem to be any breakdown of the work required or carried out.

It's something that needs to be improved on, in my opinion, consistent, clear and concise communication with the customer.
