Crown and crystal swap?

Post by Cmward » Tue Nov 26, 2019 7:11 pm

I just received my C8 PR Chronometer DLC and have been wearing it for a couple days. I am 100% happy with this watch. Buuuuuuuuuuut...

What’s with the flat crystal? It seems so modern. Is there a chance that I can swap it with a crown fitted with a domed/raised crystal? Anyone do this before?

I've tried this before, but the crown was waaay too small to fit a crystal to.

On a serious note, it may be possible with an aftermarket crystal, but you'd invalidate the CW warranty.

I'm sure you could find a domed or box crystal to fit, but it might invalidate the warranty due to the watch needing to be opened.

Never bothered to look at his model but did because of your post.

Lovely looking thing IMO. Is the Lume any good?
