Holiday watch decisions
Bit later this year as we always head to Spain in September, but this year we are heading away next week instead.
Principally because we are going to the MotoGP race in Valencia.
We will be staying 4 nights in Valencia in a fabulous looking loft apartment and then 6 nights in Lou's parent's Spanish house where we usually go to.
As you all know I love bringing my watches with me, as many as I can. This is a big part of the holiday for me as I can have time to really enjoy them.
However this year as we are staying in an apartment for a few nights first......I am worried about security etc.
So, AVO (Steve) will be very happy as I am considering taking *drumroll*......just ONE Watch with me...!
If I go ahead with this idea, which one watch out of my collection in the photo do I take that will do everything, for example I don't swim or use the pool. Needs to be good enough for going out to dinner too.
My thoughts are my new C60 Trident Pro MK3 which should be with me in time.
Or my C65 Trident Diver.
Thoughts ?

Re: Holiday watch decisions
I'd do the UTC world timer. You're travelling so looks the part and is both smart and casual. Or the C9 AM GT LE casual on brown but with a black strap to swap out to smarten it up.

Re: Holiday watch decisions
I see a choice of three Ferg, the C65 Diver (very versatile, can be dressy, waterproof), Trident GMT (keep tabs on the time back home, admittedly only a 1 hour difference, also looks smart dressed up) or the 316LE Yellow (lovely bright colour for a sunshine holiday).
Lovely city Valencia, enjoy your holiday

Re: Holiday watch decisions
Ferg, my general rule of thumb when travelling with watches (and security is a concern) is I only bring those that CAN be replaced .
So no limited editions or discontinued models. All others are on the docket. I take a picture of them leaving my house and at the hotel (your case an apartment) to prove to Insurance they were there.
Then I wear as planned and keep them out of site on the watch travel pods.
If one is a must this trip....the new C60 MK3 for the honeymoon period!!!!!

My thoughts are I can see absolutely no reason to only take one watch. Even more so as you have said you won’t be using a pool.
I assume your wallet will be in a pocket, your phone will be in a pocket. Therefore no problem sticking a spare watch in your pocket.
It’s what watch pouches are designed for! Neil

Superbly adaptable and just gorgeous.

Re: Holiday watch decisions
Another vote for the C8 UTC. It has two time zones (but one hour isn't that difficult),is smart enough, sporty enough and different enough to work at the MotoGP.
What a great holiday. I'm going to be very jealous of the weather and the MotoGP visit. Please post a pic or two gratuitously showing a watch with some MotoGP bikes...

Re: Holiday watch decisions
Surely a C600 is essential when travelling to see the time at night?
That and a C60 MkIII sounds ideal.
