That looks very much like the the prototype that Mike was wearing at the Edinburgh GTG.
You're right. It has been modified a bit so that the bronze is now PVD plated giving it the red-gold colour to prevent patination.

That makes sense a I’d remembered it as being bronze. Either way, it’s a good looking watch.

I thought he was wearing a C60 MkIII prototype in Edinburgh - that we were allowed to look at but not photograph?

Or did he have a C65 prototype as well that I missed?

The C60 was in his pocket - when he wasn’t showing it to people.

The C65 was on his wrist. At least it was when I was talking to him.

^^^ Ah, I must have missed that one. Or forgotten about it!

He had a black Dartmouth prototype, with vintage lume, on his wrist at the London GTG.

I'm intrigued that it is bronze with gold pvd, any thoughts as to why as opposed to using steel which would be cheaper.

Chris wasn't too specific. The feedback from the Edinburgh GTG was that they liked the idea of bronze but not the patination. I think there was some experimentation and they liked the colour of the PVD bronze. It allows them to tie in to the JPS Lotus cars of the 70s. I think it'll be more obvious when you get your copy of Loupe. It's a great effect though. I should have hauled my Nikon to this event but in the end was lazy and just took the phone. The big camera would have given you better pictures and given me backache. Guess which one won?

Pretty darn spot on with the mock-up I did in February when I heard about it. Essentially only difference is I added a date window to it... because I like date windows!

I attended the fair as I happened to be in the city last week. It was great to see familiar names, faces and timepieces that I until now had only read about online or in print. Spent a few minutes speaking with Chris who asked me if I was familiar with the brand - so I was able to share the details of my (modest) CW collection =) . The fair was a very pleasant experience overall although I must admit to having had some sensory overload with so many pieces on display. Didn’t know where to start! Oddly one of the things that did catch my eye first were the beautiful wooden stands that the CW collection were displayed on.

Glad you enjoyed it too, Victor88. Did you wear a CW to the show?
