That’s a pity. I’d have considered one at some point if it had been all black.Bahnstormer_vRS wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2019 11:55 am I hadn't realised until now, having read the details on CW's website, that the brushed DLC lightcatcher case is in Gunmetal not Black.
That, contrasting against other elements that are in black, should look really nice.

Re: Staring into the C60 Abyss
C60 Abyss - Open series or Limited Edition?
Does it make a difference? Probably not a huge amount.
Perhaps there is a clue in the price of £745 which is £50 more than a 'standard' Trident Pro 600 on strap. It would, no doubt, have been a further £50 or £100 more if an LE.
Anyway, I've sought and obtained clarification from the Marketing Dept @ CW of;-
"it was conceived as an LE but we decided to make it open series before we went to production".
The reference to Limited Edition in today's email is a bit of an admitted typo error.
As to the text of 'LIM' being visible on the caseback in the video.

Re: Staring into the C60 Abyss
I just ordered the new black and red hybrid strap for my C60 Titanium Pro 600. I really like those straps, but so far none of the colours matched one of my watches.
I can take some pictures when it arrives if you are interested.

Some of their advertising errors are minor, but they sure do keep trying hard to confuse us whenever they canBahnstormer_vRS wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2019 3:27 pm C60 Abyss - Open series or Limited Edition?

Re: Staring into the C60 Abyss
Guy, thanks for the update on LE status. The bigger issue for me would be if it was a very limited run I may have to pull the trigger despite doubts about the strap. I now have more time to ponder/ look for the alternative which is the Mk2 Titanium #1

Re: Staring into the C60 Abyss
I've been told the Lume wasn't up to much on the first two titanium models. I wonder if this one will be better?

Re: Staring into the C60 Abyss
According to CW the watch is lumed but, and I quote "it's a barely there lume". This is a very, very cool watch in real life but it's never going to win prizes for legibility.

Re: Staring into the C60 Abyss
At least someone like me thinking an "abyss" watch must bear some decent lume!!!
Unfortunately, CW has long failed to have bright lume on their watches. And it seems no upgrade is on the way: there is not a single marketing photo of a photoshopped lume....
No, really they missed something here.

Re: Staring into the C60 Abyss
I'd be keen for someone to explain the desirability of a watch barely legible either in daylight or darkness.....albionphoto wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2019 11:50 pm According to CW the watch is lumed but, and I quote "it's a barely there lume". Re: Staring into the C60 Abyss
Now, I’d actually buy a white dialled Trident if CW used the hands and hour markers from this watch on their white dials. I find the standard silver hands to be lacking in contrast against the white; these would remedy that...
