As long as the parts are compatible with the model, I shouldn't have thought there would be any issue using one set of hands with another dial.
For example, C65 manual/auto hands on Dartmouth dial.
Bronze C65 crown/bezel on stainless case.
All belong to the C65 diver family after all and all parts exist.
The dial would be a case of different finish, but they've done this for FLEs in the past.
I agree. However, we should remember that we voted for the C65 Dartmouth not the other C65 models. So using dials or hands from the standard C65s would perhaps be a little disingenuous. One of the reasons I voted for the Dartmouth but not the other C65s was that I'm not convinced about the hands on the standard C65s.
On the bronze front, personally I think using the bronze bezel and crown is probably ok (and look really good in your mock-ups), but a complete bronze case is not really a C65 Dartmouth. Just a personal view, not an official Admin Team position!

I'll put my hand up and state that I felt the new hands looked a little less cohesive with my mock-ups when I did them, so presented it with the handset I thought worked better.
Then if members decided that they actually preferred the latest handset, I'd change them.
Just for the record, I would like to stress again that I ain't got my hat in the ring, so I'm very happy to be guided by the process.
I certainly don't want it to come across like I'm forcing my ideas on everyone.

Absolutely - and your contribution so far has been excellent and is really much appreciated. Please continue!
I'm just checking where we all think the boundaries are. If there is a general feeling that, for example, using the standard C65 hands is fine then great. But it's worth raising it so we are all aware, particularly as the standard C65s didn't win the poll.

In response to a couple of questions regarding the Dartmouth....
Although I still need 100% confirmation....yes we can probably add a date. but the movement would probably not be COSC if we did. Cost of dial would probably be unaffected as we will probably end up with a custom dial anyway.

A question regarding the Dartmouth mock up with the steel case and bronze bezel. Is the inner ring between the bezel insert and the crystal, part of the case or part of the bezel?
If it is the case, as I suspect by looking at the close up photos in the CW website, then the bi-metallic option might look a little odd if this ring is in steel. The C60 bezel goes right to the glass so wouldn’t be an issue on this model though.
That's a very good point! I'd (naively) assumed that it was all part of the bezel, but upon inspection of the CW website photos, it looks tight to the box crystal.
Anyone fancy sticking something to their inner ring and checking whether it rotates with the bezel?

With all the chat about the Dartmouth does it mean the C60 Blue is now out of consideration?
Cheers
Chris
No, as per the 1st post

This topic can be used for listing and discussion of design submissions using our proposed models of the C65 Dartmouth Series 1 and the C60 Trident Pro 600 Mk III (size TBD)
It's a place to discuss ideas before further voting takes place
Case, bezel, bracelet and logo are of the Dartmouth.

.... but the design should include the hands and dial, which are the primary recognisable elements of the Dartmouth (which is what was voted for), as others aleady submitted have been.
