Fair point, but the dial design is key to the Dartmouth look.

The stick (cricket bat) hands in @Strappedup's designs could easily changed to the Dartmouth hands.

Or perhaps left as they are, if that’s what is required to get the maximum number to buy......

I agree that the old Trident hands are a no, as they don’t currently feature on a C65 model, or for that matter a C60.

I also agree that the dial design is key to the Dartmouth look (and it’s apparent popularity). :)

I must admit, it didn’t dawn on me until I read the earlier comments that the designs (which I love) weren’t using the Dartmouth hands.

It simply confirms for me that the dial maketh the Dartmouth, not the hands...

Agreed. Would be good to see some of the proposed designs with original Dartmouth hands as a comparison, but I'm not sure it'll improve the look.

The Dartmouth in a very dark grey/charcoal would be superb.

Raised twin flag logo at 12.

Black second hand with white lume/tip

I don't know how to do photoshop but if one of our experts could make a mock up it would be much appreciated.

The classic Trident hands are currently featured and available:

C60 Trident Bronze Pro 600
C60 Trident Bronze GMT 600 Limited Edition
C60 Trident 316L Limited Edition - Black
C60 Trident Chronograph Pro 600
C60 Trident 300
C60 Trident Chronograph 300

Just thought the classic Trident details were a nice fit with the vintage case and bezel design of the Dartmouth. The modern arrow/stick hands of the new C60/Darthmouth don't look very good on the C65, in my honest opinion. And the stick hands of the other C65s look very dull and lack any imagination.

I agree, it’s those classic pointers that drew me to the Trident Mk11 in the first place.

Not so keen on the stick pointers.

I like these. Probably prefer the stick hands but would be open to either if it got to that point.

'Old' trident hands are a definite no from me. Not related to the c65 family and are something CW are moving away from

Ah good point Frank. It’s a long time since I looked at the CW website. I was getting confused with the C60 Mk3 that I saw at a GTG. :)

I am not really bothered what hands are used. It’s the “Dartmouth dial layout” that has made it a likely to buy for me.

All of which are C60 Trident Mk2 models.

We're now on C60 Trident Mk3 and surely we want to move forward with the new.

That was always my thought. However, after owning a C65 GMT for a brief period, the bevelled edges combined with brushed/polished finishing make them much more pleasing than the stock images suggest imo.
Granted they'll not be for everyone though.

As for the Dartmouth hands, both sets are there for everyone to decide now.

Many fans of the Mk1/2 don't like the Mk3 hands at all, including myself. So maybe you want to move forward with the new but I think many still prefer the classic hand design.

The forum banner still shows the Mk2 classic design, perhaps time to update because we need to move forward and forget about the old stuff.

Hey, at least I didn't put the classic Chr.WARD on the dial which would have looked even better. :)

There's one likely technical issue with any suggestion of putting 'classic', I prefer to call them onion or teardrop, hands on a C65 based watch.

The Teardrop hands have only ever been produced for the C60 Trident MkI and MKII with 43mm or 38mm case. I doubt they will fit the 41mm C65 Trident Diver / Dartmouth.

The C60 has a wider bezel than the C65 so the dial and hands sizes may be the same for the C60 43mm and C65 41mm. But I don't know because I don't currently have a C65 so can't compare with my C60.
