C11 seconds hand returning to 59 second point?

Post by scanny » Sat Sep 28, 2019 4:51 am

Hello,

I dusted off a C11 and changed the battery ready to move it on as it doesn’t see any wear, and the seconds hand now returns to the 59 second position when resetting the timer.

Seems peculiar, it can’t be a rotation of the movement as there is a stem in it, has anyone experienced this?

Cheers

Try following the instructions on page 20 of the handbook.

Haven't had a problem with my CW's doing this, but did have to reset the hands on a couple of others. Check the C11 manual, there should be a process for setting the hands after a battery change. Sans manual, one can get the reset process by looking up the instructions for that particular movement number on the 'net. Good luck!

Sorted, then? That’s good.

Nice to see the Forum serving a useful purpose.
