CW on social media

Post by Bahnstormer_vRS »

CW are fairly prolific on Social Media e.g. Facebook, Instagram etc. but it is known from various discussions in the past, that there is a notable proportion of Forum Members that prefer not to use these platforms.

Whilst one might say that is their problem, it is not the answer.

The answer, I believe, is for those forum members who are on social media and who keep tabs on what CW are up to, share the information they get with the rest of us.

All we need to do is post details, a screenshot is probably the easiest way, of what CW are up to i.e. Events, new releases etc. for all to see.

Here's one to start with and comment, request for further information etc. are welcome.

Next CW Event / GTG in Bristol on Saturday 2nd November - I'll post up a separate topic on this as usual.

Thanks for this Guy. I for one don't use social media so it's handy if more relevant information like this is posted on the forum.

Cheers Guy, it’s well known on here that I’m not on social media, and never will be, so nice to be kept in the loop

Likewise for various reasons I don't use or want to use social media so thank you to Guy and anybody else that lets us know on here when CW are holding forthcoming events and open evenings.

Am I safe to assume that the open evening on 26 September is from 1730-2000 as it doesn't show any time on the notice?

Thanks Guy.
I sent an email early this morning asking about these open evenings because they had been mentioned in Loupe. I only have a 50/50 chance of getting to the 26 September evening event so wouldn't want to take 1 of the spaces if they're limited in numbers. I'll contact Olivia to discuss though as I will be interested in attending 1 of them.

I don’t use any social media, too many questionable people and attention seekers on there - not including you of course Guy.

Thank you Guy for offering this. It will be helpful. I'm hoping that the November CW event will coincide with my visit to Blighty. As I'm another one who does not participate in "anti-social" media this will be very helpful.

UPDATE - I received a reply from Declan this afternoon saying he will be running a few Open Evenings and confirming details for the 26 September evening.

You can view public Instagram posts with just the url and a web browser, no login or account needed; probably easier sharing links than repeatedly having to share screenshots of your entire phone display?

For eg, where the QC happens... https://www.instagram.com/p/B1q_L_-HHkx ... e7dpix4ekj

You can also link direct to public pictures on both platforms (as Facebook and Instagram images are hosted on Facebook image cache servers)

@jtc - So like this?

Which requires me to type more to post, and forum members to click on to view.

Not sure. I'll try it.
