Mystery of website watches all showing same times?

Has anyone ever noticed how the product image photos on their website for a particular range all display the exact same time?
If so, how is that possible to achieve in the real world?

Considering the Trident C60 Pro 600 Range: All models currently show the time of 8 minutes past 10 and 34 seconds.
The crowns are fully screwed in, so the movements will presumably be moving as the watch is handled and put into rest positions for photos to be taken.

So what tricks are used to have them all showing the same time down to the second? Or are the images heavily photo shopped from one single initial photo etc?

Forgive me if this sounds a bit of a silly question :?

No idea, but I guess you could do it with a photo burst over several seconds.

It goes deeper... Find me an official modern Omega advert/picture where the date is not set to "8" and I'll send you a prize. :D

(Edited to make the small print more obvious).

Very good, Kari. However, you appear to have overlooked the small print. :)

In CW's lineup, you'll notice that the forward facing shots are all positioned exactly the same as they are photoshopped / computer generated. If you look at the actual press shots (the wrist shots, etc.) you'll see some variances.

Feel like I can speak to this as most of the photoshopping I do on the CW's match, line up, angle the exact same. For instance if I pull the red 600m text off of the blue C60, it will be the exact same size, angle and position as the black dial C60. I'm led to believe the front view of the watch laying on its side generally follows the same rule.

That makes a lot of sense, and I think you have solved my mystery, thank you very much.

Or a non chronograph, non annual calendar Rolex that doesn’t indicate 10:10:31 on the 28th.

They even stick to that for models at events.

I'd argue that's a "casual" picture, so it can't count. I think Neil has made my point though. :D

I was told a number of years ago by a watchmaker, that the likes of Rolex , Omega etc use fake non working movements for pictures so that the hands can be set to wherever they want.

I'm led to understand that 10 past 10 for the hands is used as it shows off the whole watch face better. I doubt the watches used for advertising have movements inside hence the crown seated.
