Them old C60s got me under their spell.....

Post by tikkathree »

Taking stock.... does this photo make it clear how I feel about C60 MkIIs? I'm never had a bad experience with C60s.
Oh sure I've drifted through the whole range of CW watches - chronos, quartz, well nearly the whole pre-mkIII range but this combination of case, handset and especially the wavy dials just work for me.
Seamasters they aren't and Planet Oceans they aren't and I generally avoid looking for direct comparisons in that area in much the same way that I can derive the same amount of sensory pleasure from a bar of 60% cocoa solid chocolate as I can from a bar of white chocolate with very little cocoa solid at all. Edit: just realised that the GMT hand is completely obscured on the black dial version - how often does that happen? hahaha Image

The Trident mk2 is one of CW's finest moments no doubt. I'm wishing I didn't sell the few I've had (still have a mk1) but going to give the mk3 a whirl instead.

My favorite CW's too. I just love the waterdrop hour hand, the wavy dials and the 'toolwatch' case. Although I've sold a couple, the 'Beast' chrono and my black GMT are still in the collection and will likely stay.

I'm not attracted to the Mk3 in any way but will be interested to see the new chronos next year.

I recommend giving the Mk3 a whirl.

The opening image shows a great combination of watches.
Having bought 3 of the Mk2 Tridents, they have proved to be great watches.
Having bought the the Mk3 version, that too, has more than exceeded my expectations, and is my favourite of my small collection of Tridents.

About once every 62.5 minutes, if I’m thinking correctly. However, if I can’t see it then at least I know the minute hand is telling me what time it is in Dibley. Like I care!

Great group shot!

Really nice collection, though I have to admit (sorry), I am not all that keen on the bronze version.
Then again I have an all rose gold Bulova, so what do I know! :D
