The NEW C9 AM GT Limited Edition

Post by TP Fit »

I'm curious to hear what everyone has to say about the new C9 AM GT LE. I have not seen the previous version of the C9 but I'm liking this one. At an almost 8.5 inch wrist, I like seeing the larger case sizes - fits me well. The CW website does not have any profile pics. Difficult for me to make a full assessment without them. Anyone have access to some profile shots of the watch? The previous version would suffice as well. Thanks!

Isn't that similar in height to the old chrono Ferg?

Are you getting the 46 or 48 Hr power reserve model Ferg? (more inconsistencies in the sales blurb if you look). :?
Quite tempted myself, but quite expensive for a parts bin special.
Current collection incl Citizen, G-Shock, Rolex, Seiko, Sinn & Tag.

Spotted that too error...
Saying that the power reserve for this movement has varying specs across the internet.

EDIT : All sorted by CW on their listing now, 46 PR and 24 Jewels.

Looks like they are starting to realise that a balanced dial looks better.

I very much like these and they remind me of the C1 Morgan Aero 8 Chronometer which has a similar "look" with the PR etc.

The C1 is a reasonable 40.5mm size but £2,250 price tag (ouch). The C9 AM GT far more accessible price wise but at 43mm it is too big for my tastes and pretty hefty 15mm thick too, so looks good and price good but too big.

I really like the face design and the wordmark is balanced too (yay!) but it's just too big for me. A 43mm watch without a bezel wears much bigger than, say, a 43mm Trident with a bezel (selling my C65 Limited because of this fact) and the case seems positively rotund, no doubt due to the height of the movement - itself a strange choice.

So, although I initially clicked on buy, on further calm thinking about it, this one's not for me. In a slimmer 40mm case it would have been mine!

..... and that had slightly too narrow, for the 43mm case, 20mm lugs.

22mm is a much better fit.

I'm on the fence for this. Plenty of reasons to like it but it just isn't quite leaping out at me with 'buy me' vibes.

I jumped at this. I've loved the design since the original `1 VEV`.

Hopefully it wears no bigger than my C8 Power Reserve (which is large but looks OK on my average-sized wrist).

Love this so have placed at order, think its decentish value with the slight draw being so few in numbers :)
