Re: Summer Sale 2019
Usual story - had the Trident Pro 'Beast' Chrono Valjoux Page up - clicked to progress & 'Out of Stock' showed .... sigh ....
Still, thanks to Ferg I did find a C70 US at last on EBay !

Man. That was chaos.
Any of you veterans know if it's normal to receive an order confirmation but not see the pending charge hit your card yet?

Re: Summer Sale 2019
I've placed two orders; one for a watch (got the 'Drop' on a Military Special) and a couple of straps, the second for some more straps.
Orders were accepted just under 20 minutes apart and the difference in the order number is #90 orders; potentially 270 orders per hour.
Hardly scientific but quite a volume.

Re: Summer Sale 2019
Seems like way more stuff than usual.
A friend of mine is tempted with C65 Khaki but still waiting for confirmation is the new quick release end link will work with the current watch.
Happy hunting, guys.

Wow that's definitely a stock clearance like never before! Every sofa in the building has been upturned and stripped of cushions.
Happy purchasing those that are doing so, some great prices.

Re: Summer Sale 2019
I was really hoping for an old C9 5 Days Small Seconds in the 50% off or 40% off NN sections. The hunt continues

Cards don’t get charged until your watch is ready to be dispatched.thumperstain wrote: ↑Mon Jul 08, 2019 4:35 pm Man. That was chaos.

Re: Summer Sale 2019
This is it!
I jumped for a C5 Malvern 595 (with the 7001 movement).
I hesitated with some other else, including naturally the in-house Chronometers offers.
Christopher Ward's prices were usually really affordable, I was reluctant to do the move, but at this price-level it was a no-brainer.
This is the first step, unusual for me wearing Swiss and Japanese expected automatic watches (and 2 quartz that are relevant for me), and still no manual watch.
And I could not wait any longer to receive a really thinnnnnnn manual watch, probably a daily wearer with my usual chronograph (2 different worlds)

C5 Malvern 595, thin manual 7001 daily wearer.
And naturally some other Swiss or Japanese watches, but it's not relevant here.

Re: Summer Sale 2019
^^^its a good looking watch Ferg!
I had a browse this evening but by the time I got to look there was nothing that really caught my eye, I’d prefer to keep my money until after I’ve handled some of the new models at the London gtg and hopefully by then there will be other colour ways on the 40mm Trident
