Abysmal Service from Christopher Ward

Post by G1DRP »

Hi All,

Before you buy another watch or send your watch in for a "service", think twice! I'm not going into details, but their so-called Service Department is a joke!

I've posted this on here in the hope that somebody from CW will read it, unlike the emails I send to them, and actually do something!

I'll leave it at that so that you can draw your own conclusions.
Cheers,

Ian

How long will this post stay up! CW best watches and best customer service period!

Just ask them.

Another tale of woe it seems. It would be good to explain or else the in-denial fan boys on here will accuse you of just making it up.

Do you have a copy of "How To Make Friends For Dummies?"

Which page has the part that says 'call 'em names, that'll win 'em over?

Serious question. Image

I think it would be helpful if the OP would elaborate as it is impossible to draw any conclusions from the initial post.

Even Rolex & Patek have issues sometimes, nobody is perfect all the time.
Have you tried phoning them?
There are a lot of very satisfied customers as well, but if you have issues I can fully understand your frustration.
I hope it gets sorted soon.

Exactly. "I'm not going into details" means this thread is completely worthless.

Agreed, informs us nothing. Slagging off operation?

Good man. Intrigued to see if this is another of the seemingly common theme of errors that seem to have cropped up recently.

Well without the background story you instantly lost any sympathy I might have had for you. There is a way to vent your frustration in a forum and that is not it.

As the OP clearly can't be bothered to expand on his rant I decided to take 30 seconds out of my day to do it for him!

Absolutely ABYSMAL!

Okay I banged my £1,700 watch on a door frame, which is totally my fault. The movement survived but one of the screws that secures the movement to the case broke. This was in December 2018 and they STILL have my watch!

Now, the ETA 7750 is shock resistant, so why don't they make sure that the ancillary parts are too? Anyway, I've agreed to pay £30 to get it fixed, but I was sent an invoice for £90!!! Should have been repaired as a gesture of good will, in my opinion as I was totally honest with them from the start.

They also didn't ship the watch when they said they would, after purchasing it. I was told I'd get a £10 refund, on the cost of the shipping, but I never did.

Once you've bought a watch from them and they have your money, they couldn't give a s**t!
