New to the boards. I've had to take my c65 in twice to have the bracelet put back on. Even the tech there (they work on high end watches) said it was nasty to get back on! Cant wait for the quick release. -IPD

^^^ welcome to the forum.
Disappointed to hear that as I’m getting a C65 with most likely the older bracelet.
Reason? The older one mimics the older style “Oyster” bracelet that befits the vintage 60’s style diver watch. Whereas the newer bracelet has a wider centre link making it more modern looking. It does have the QR which is very handy.
When I view them both together in the flesh (older C65 against C60) they may not look too different. But at the moment it’s looking like the older Oyster, so that’s not good news.
Anyone else had problems taking off/refitting their C65 bracelet? A nightmare?

I went for the old one also.
Just because I couldn't wait for the QR to come out.

In 5 minutes It was fitted.
These things are never easy and I'm not very handy with small stuff,
but to me it was rather straightforward.

Couldn't be happier.

Ah cheers, makes sense. The other guys watchmaker must have huge clumsy hands.
If you wanted to wait then you could’ve bought it on a leather strap then got QR bracelet later? Just an idea and if I’m wrong and there’s not much difference then that’s what I’m gonna do.
But the old one looked perfect in pictures.
If it ain’t broke ........ :problem:

I did buy a used one on a leather strap initially, but I just prefer bracelets.

So the QR makes not much sense to me because I'll probably never take it off and it will be more expensive.

I wanted to wait initially because I might have been persuaded by the look of the bigger center links on the one hand,

or the old one might get reduced in price on the other hand.

But I now have the watch on the bracelet with me on holiday, and that's more important.

There are on sale so def cheaper.

Not sure if new QR gonna be 100% compatible with the old one or has it been confirmed they are interchangeable ?

Yes, the watch with bracelet was on sale,
but just the bracelet also?
I haven't seen that.

How can the new C65 QR bracelet not be interchangeable with the old C65 bracelet?
My english may be lacking...

They ARE interchangeable.
It’s the same watch.
Both old and new bracelets will fit the watch head.

Any tips on how to fit the old bracelet on the C65 trident auto?
I now have the watch sent to CW for replacement but in the short time I had it as the watch came with the leather quick release bracelet I tried to mount the extra steel bracelet I had ordered. With just the usual spring bar tool (bergeon) it seemed very difficult. Maybe I need spring bar tweezers or I was doing it wrong. First watch I encountered any difficulty with.
Will try again when the replacement C65 gets back.

General rule of thumb is tweezers brackets and spring bar tool for straps. However, you should still be ok using a spring bar tool for bracelets. Just easier with tweezers. Although at £100 for Burgeon tweezers they ain’t cheap.
It’s a shame they’ve changed the aesthetics of the new bracelet. The old “oyster” look was perfect for the C65 divers.

How does the new bracelet differs from the old one exactly?

^^^ Having not seen one yet in the flesh admittedly, I think it’s mainly that it is Quick Release and the centre link is a little wider than the old one.
I’m sure others will chime in with more details. 👍
