If they have sold out of the black 40mm on bracelet already I'm going to hazard a guess that we'll see other colors by the end of June.

Worst case, if CW sell out of existing stock, will be that the availability will switch to Pre-Order for (say) June????

As it has done already on some Trident Mk3 models.

A new 40mm MK3 is on ebay.co.uk
Looking at the pics, CW appear to have adopted a credit card type of warranty card.

Wouldn't the 40mm be much more popular than the 38mm? I was surprised to see they only offered the 40mm in black and 38mm in 3 colors. Should offer the other way around.

CW are testing the water for 40mm with Black/Black.

As Kip wrote in a post the other day, CW want to see how the balance of sales between the sizes pans out and whether the 40mm steals sales from one of the other sizes or, perhaps and hopefully, provides a springboard to increase sales overall.

Thanks Guy. Will be interesting to see what it goes for.

Strangely, my saved CW search did not pick it up, but ebay is weird at times.

Makes me feel a bit smug that I managed to pick up my bracelet version on launch day, but I did put CW Towers on speed-dial and kept hitting redial whenever they were engaged ;-)
Mine has not been off the wrist since it arrived yesterday. It has been on a variety of NATO and leather options but bracelet will get resized tomorrow when I head into town. So far it is also running at about +2sec over 24hr so pretty chuffed with that!
To me, the 40mm was a no-brainer; I don’t understand why CW released it in such limited numbers unless their market research tells them otherwise?

They've sold 38 and the larger size for years, so 40mm is a departure for them. They know 38 and 42 sell relatively well, so it makes sense they would test the waters with the just the black 40mm to see how it does before committing to a full range of colors in that size, especially in a new version. I'll say it again, I'd be shocked if we don't see 40mm in other colors in a couple months.
