Thank you for the positive comments. Now I’ve seen Downers review and excellent photos of the actual watch, I’m looking forward to receiving it even more.

Essex Paul, that sounds like a very worthwhile charity, unfortunately the decision is not mine to take. You’d better start getting friendly with the admin team if you want them to vote for your suggestion....

TigerChris, thanks but don’t tell anyone, I’m actually from t’other side o th’hills. My wife and daughter are both Yorkshire lasses though.

Congratulations, Iain, and thank you so much for the handsome and generous donation. I hope you enjoy your new watch – I’m sure you will. Looking forward to your review.

The half minute which we daily devote to the winding-up of our watches is an exertion of labour almost insensible; yet, by the aid of a few wheels, its effect is spread over the whole twenty-four hours.

Sorry Essex Paul, your appeal fell on deaf ears and the admin team chose cancer research for my charitable donation. I am happy to support such a worthwhile cause as a friend and neighbour recently lost their battle and I have a family member just starting theirs.

Here is a screen shot confirming the donation has now been made.
