Based on the models being cleared out in the January / Spring sales, it looks like the motorsport and aviation lines have become pretty limited with their offerings. Are you anticipating new releases within these categories and if so, are they expected to be variances of the current models or a complete redesign? i.e. new cases and dial elements.

  • Dive watches appear to be your star performers - do you still plan on investing in and producing Dress, Aviation & Motorsport ranges in the future?
  • Will the Jumping Hour return at some stage?
There will be a major redesign of the Aviator and Motorsport ranges for releases in 2020.

Jumping Hour question; not asked.

(1) What lug width will the 40mm C60 MkIII be: 20mm or 22mm?

(2) Any more new colors planned for the C65 Automatic and C65 GMT? The Khaki green from the C65 Diver would be my vote for both.
1. 40mm C60 has 20mm lugs

2. No firm information, unlikely to be Khaki.

One question from me and it is based on a recent scan of the CW site and the absence of availability of 38mm C65 Trident Vintage, 38mm C60 600s (aside from bronze) and 38mm C60 300s.

Question: Will CW continue to produce diver/sports watches in sizes under 40mm, and will there ever be an in-house, COSC movement in this size?

Thanks,

C
Yes; C60 Trident MkIII is being released in 38mm and 40mm, however SH21 will not fit in these cases.

SH21 is a relatively large movement and smallest case size possible is 40.5mm as used in the C1 Grand Malvern.

I’m interested in the ‘Aqua Terra Competitor’ that was briefly mentioned at the Edinburgh GTG. If there is any other info yet on this I’d appreciate it please.
No further development plans on the 'Aqua Terra Competitor' however . . . .
.
. . . .. expect a Military announcement in the next few days.

Are any changes planned for the C1 Moonphase?

Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
YES.

CW's Calibre JJ04 Moonphase movement is to be used in a new C1 Moonglow, due for release 20th July 2019; 50th Anniversary of Neil Armstrong's first steps on the Moon.

Brief details are in Loupe. Its stunning and, I believe, nothing like any Moonphase seen before.

A couple of Qs.

Please could Chris explain the relationship between SH and Meistersinger, and how is that projected to change?

I see that their SH21 movements aren't COSC, will all CWs SH21 equipped watches continue to be COSC?

I understand that future developments are not necessarily for public consumption; but is there any likelihood of a Chronograph SH21?
In July 2014 Christopher Ward and Synergies Horlogères merged to form Christopher Ward Holdings Limited.

CW Holdings Ltd manufacture all watches for Meistersinger.

As answered by Kip earlier in the thread;-
Kip wrote:

All SH21 movements for CW are COSC certified. It would appear that Meistersinger does not request COSC. I do not expect CW to change.

Chronograph SH21 possibility has not been ruled out.

Any possibility of a COSC day-date SH21? Tip top would be with Power Reserve!

Thanks Guy.
Power Reserve variants of the SH21 are the most popular; expect more.

Day/Date not asked.

Any chance for permanent logo and no more changes?
Comment by Mike France;-

The present logo is proving very successful and there is currently no plan to change it.

However, looking at brands in all fields, i.e. Rolex, Nike, Coca Cola to name just three, Companies do change their logos periodically.

So, never say never.

I realise that CW won't do "personalisation" of their standard issues but would they consider giving the option at order time of "coke" or "pepsi" bezels on the pepsi C65 GMT watch or vice versa if they bring out the Trident MkIII with a coke bezel.
Alternate colour bezels are always under discussion and 'Coke' (Black / Red) is a possibility. There are however, with ceramic bezels (CW use a leading Company in the field from South Korea) less colour options are available for technical reasons.

So the increase in sales has nothing to do with new designs and better styled cases? Why spend the R&D and production costs on new models then?
You'll have to excuse my questions but us older people do get a bit stubborn whereas the younger generation simply like what they like for the short term and then move on when they're bored with something.

+1 for the question about the Aqua Terra competitor

1. Any chance of brushed ceramic bezels to change the look?
2. Do you see a trend away from larger watches (e.g., 44mm) towards the 42mm and 40mm sizes?
AT competitor answered in a post above.

1. Brushed ceramic? - Maybe.

2. Trend away from larger watches? - Has been ongoing for a few years hence introduction of C60 Trident MkIII in 42mm and 40mm. There is certainly potential for smaller sizes.

The distressed leather strap appears to be the more popular choice with the Trident Ombré.

Is CW considering adding distressed leather straps (different colours, black, brown, blue perhaps) to their lineup?
Yes; there are plans to release a black distressed leather strap in the Autumn '19 . . . .
.
.
. . . . on a Steel case, Black Ombré dial, C60 Trident MkIII. - you heard it here first.

Will you make Limited Editions in 38 or 40mm sizes for smaller wrists this time with the MK3's, unlike the Trident MK2's that were all 43mm?
There are possibilities for 38mm or 40mm MkIII Trident LEs, so in principal, yes.

Smaller sizes? C65 Trident Diver is 41mm. Watch out for LEs; they're coming (no other details though).
