Thanks - they need to do something about the sound quality as I have my volume on full but can barely make out a word they are saying.

Did they mention if there will be only limited colors available in the 40mm initially? I read elsewhere they planned to only do Black on black in the 40mm initially to test the waters on that size, but don't recall that being mentioned (granted, sound quality was not ideal) or seen that discussed anywhere else.

Wasn't mentioned in the Chat but, yes, the 40mm will only (initially) be available in Black / Black.Rice & Gravy wrote: ↑Mon Apr 29, 2019 12:31 pm Did they mention if there will be only limited colors available in the 40mm initially? Thanks Guy. I missed the live call (off taking photos) and I don't think this has been posted to YouTube yet.Bahnstormer_vRS wrote: ↑Sun Apr 28, 2019 11:07 pmAT competitor answered in a post above.albionphoto wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2019 1:57 pm +1 for the question about the Aqua Terra competitor
1. Any chance of brushed ceramic bezels to change the look?
2. Do you see a trend away from larger watches (e.g., 44mm) towards the 42mm and 40mm sizes?
1. Brushed ceramic? - Maybe.
2. Trend away from larger watches? - Has been ongoing for a few years hence introduction of C60 Trident MkIII in 42mm and 40mm. There is certainly potential for smaller sizes.

Got it. I hadn't got to this far in the comments, I'll take a look tonight after work. I'm looking forward to the C1 Moonglow. Sounds intriguing. Thanks again for all the work you and the team put in to make this work.

Not raised in the Chat, but those who attended, or took in the details of what was discussed at the Edinburgh Chat in January, will remember Mike France showing us a prototype echo-friendly and 95% biodegradable Watch Box and packaging.
Well its here.
It will be used initially for Trident 3, and will be phased in for all other CW watches.

Re: Questions - Chat with Chris - Manchester GTG - 27th April 2019
Thanks for posting the YouTube link Guy.
Great photos of the new packaging also.
The main sound issue I saw was that Mike France used a clip on microphone instead of using a handheld one and you could barely make out what he was saying where as anyone from the audience using a handheld one was perfectly clear.
This information needs to be passed on to CW for the London GTG.

Re: Questions - Chat with Chris - Manchester GTG - 27th April 2019
Point taken about the sound Ferg.
I was standing at the back, further back than the camera position, and everybody sounded pretty clear; Mike with clip on microphone on his collar (picked up the sound of him rotating a bezel really well), Chris or Peter with hand held microphones or audience with hand held microphones.
The issue, I fear is with the recording.
I'll make CW aware.

Tbanks for the explanation Guy.Bahnstormer_vRS wrote: ↑Sun Apr 28, 2019 11:27 pmPerhaps my answer was too succinct. Of course new designs, cases etc. are factors involved.Mikkei4 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 28, 2019 11:04 pmSo the increase in sales has nothing to do with new designs and better styled cases? Why spend the R&D and production costs on new models then?Bahnstormer_vRS wrote: ↑Sun Apr 28, 2019 10:58 pm
Comment by Mike France;-
The present logo is proving very successful and there is currently no plan to change it.
However, looking at brands in all fields, i.e. Rolex, Nike, Coca Cola to name just three, Companies do change their logos periodically.
So, never say never.
Guy
You'll have to excuse my questions but us older people do get a bit stubborn whereas the younger generation simply like what they like for the short term and then move on when they're bored with something.
However, as Mike France pointed out, CW have the clear information of the result on sales of the logo change to the current position on the C60 Trident Pro 600 which was released with the V_2 logo and later changed to the current, V_3 logo, whereupon there was a noticeable step up in sales.
Guy
I'm pleased that they're getting more sales but sorry that it basically means bad news for me.

Being prototypes, that’s not the shape they’ll end up being will they??
Basically an elongated rectangle?
Surely not.

That looks pretty final to me. What's wrong with a rectangle? Plenty of other manufacturers use that shape too.Essex Paul wrote: ↑Mon Apr 29, 2019 4:08 pm

I would like to see packaging integrate a travel pod, both for shipping protection and later use, but hey ho.

Perhaps I should have been clearer in my explanation. Mike France showed us a prototype at the Edinburgh GTG in January.
The boxes we saw, and I have photographed, on Saturday in Manchester are the real McCoy.
They are, very roughly, 40cm x 15cm x 10cm. The watch with strap lies flat, or with bracelet fits in the recess.
Make sense?
Moreover CW have intentionally waived their exclusivity rights on the new designs, methodologies, processes and approach to allow other Watch Manufacturers to take up on this eco-friendly packaging.
More details in Loupe.
