I think it highly likely that this is the watch that you sold.

I would pass this to the police.

I think it's too late. The listing has ended and that watch won't be seen again on eBay, certainly not on that strap.

Agreed, sold last night and was reported to the necessary organisations yesterday afternoon.
The seller was happy to sell, but disappeared when challenged over papers and serial numbers etc

Likely to be my old watch and the seller seemed stupid enough to move it on with quite a distinctive strap.

I suspect #3257 will crop up again at some stage, but the buyer has probably and unknowingly bought stolen goods.
Current collection incl Citizen, G-Shock, Rolex, Seiko, Sinn & Tag.

Any idea what happened with the watch?

Presumably organised and signed for by a wrongun. :problem:

I've not taken it any further as I'm not at a financial loss and haven't been instructed to take further action - whether PayPal do something (unlikely), I have no idea.

Sadly the watch didn't really have any marks or distinctive features, so even if it's sold on ebay we'll only know who the wrongun is, if they sell the watch to someone who is aware of the con and they recognise the 3257 serial number or if they show the serial number in the ad.
Bump for extra coverage.
