Open evening at CW tower

Post by MadG »

Hello Everyone
I got this mail from CW about an open evening on 21st March 2019, turns out I am on a training course not very far from the CW HQ so planning to drop by for this event.
Anyone else planning to join ?

Thanks

Yes, I got the invite but won't be attending 1) Short notice, 2) I'm not local, 3) Wait for 50% discount on the website!
Current collection incl Citizen, G-Shock, Rolex, Seiko, Sinn & Tag.

Nope. Never got that invite, would've attended too had I received a bit of notice.

Mind you I never got the latest Loupe or voucher either!

If I lived local I would have been interested but I don't.

Looks like you're on your own as I didn't get that emailed invitation either.

Shame as I'm only 20mins drive away.

Wonder what criteria they used to decide who to email it to.

Have you bought anything recently, not bought anything recently?

No need to RSVP - you just turn up...

Yeah that's how it seems.
Not recently but I have a C60 GMT, a black vintage c60 and a C8 flyer. I will be interested in the new trident coming out in may.
I have a potential winding issue with my GMT where I want some opinion and that's my reason for the visit today.

Worth noting that CW Towers is not the Tardis and the Showroom is no bigger than a typical home lounge / living room.

Any more than 12 - 15 people attending and they will have to use other rooms; the dispatch / post room is across the corridor.

Thanks Guy
I've been there before :) you are right the showroom is actually the same size as a living room or lounge. Will see how many turn up tomorrow.

I wouldn't want to just turn up though without an invitation as Guy makes a good point about the living room size of the showroom. I wouldn't be buying anything either so probably best to wait for the release of the new Trident.

Wonder what the criteria was.

I’m obviously not very high on their list having bought a £1700 piece only for it to end up back at CW just 8 weeks later broken.
Probably knew I would have a little moan and wouldn’t be buying anything.

20% off though. Impressed.

I got the invite but unfortunately won't be able to make it as I go to bed and get up a silly O'clock for work so anything during the week is a pretty much a no go.

You're definitely on the blacklist Paul!

Seriously though, 20% off is a nice incentive if you were planning to buy one of the more expensive pieces, plus a chance to try before you buy.
