Modified C600 Tri-tech Elite
Or I suppose it should perhaps be Bi-tech Elite.
As the owner of an older and slightly chipped C600, I was wondering what to do. I had a vague memory of a modified C600, so dug out the thread. An exchange of emails with Jay at Motor City Watch Works followed. Due to the lead time of work I held off posting the watch to America, but at the end of September off it went.
Today it came back. And I’m delighted with it. It looks, to me, fantastic. All the PVD has been blasted off leaving the blasted finish. The helium release valve remains black, presumably because it wasn’t possible to remove the PVD without damaging the ionised yellow finish. The rest of the case has a consistant finish. So I’ve a new looking watch to take on holidays.
So good does it look, I’m wondering about a blue C600 sitting in a watch box....

Utterly superb. The one c600 I like generally is the green and black one, but this looks great.

Totally agree and a great strap choice. I do think that CW have the best Yellow and Orange colour palettesproughton wrote: ↑Fri Jan 25, 2019 8:02 pm Utterly superb. The one c600 I like generally is the green and black one, but this looks great.

I have long liked a bead blasted finish to a watch case and this is no exception.

That looks awesome, Alex!
And you now have a completely unique CW watch. Maybe it should be called the C677, merging together the C600 with your username!

Re: Modified C600 Tri-tech Elite
Thanks for the positive comments chaps. I’m now noticing detail that I’ve not done on the black watch. Like the bands than run round the bezel between the numbers.
I’ll not rush into it, but I am sorely tempted to have my blue dial version done. I’ll keep the black dial/green hands with a black PVD case.

Thanks Steve. And I think you’ve just named the watch - great thinking.

Looks superb, I used to have the same watch, and if I still did I'd be tempted to send off to the same guy.....but better that yours is the only one to reward your lateral thinking.

I’d have no objection Partick if you, or anyone else, wants to do something similar.

That looks great! I'd be tempted to change the hands but it would lose more of its CWness...
