I am in the minority when I say the marks would bother me.
But that's because I have been lucky that any second hand watch I have bought has been pretty much perfect.
I suppose for nearly new there is always an element of risk which as a buyer you have to accept - at the end of the day only you as the owner know how much it bothers you, it would me but then again I am a bit odd (maybe fussy is a better word).
Nearly New - but is it near enough?

You can also re-brush the steel with a green scotch brite pad that should take care of minor scratches. Just go in the same direction as the grain

Aligned with majority that as a NN watch (be it 30% or 50% off) that NN means there may be some minor marks. I buy my NN watches expecting there to be minor marks and if there is not that's a surprise and bonus. IMO
Plus it's easily remedied as Downer noted....

Thanks for all of your advise and encouragement guys
Although it is a really lovely watch, I decided that it didn't fit my collection atm!

I agree Chris, but it had the dial of my C60 vintage and size/case style of my Alpinist - probably therefore perfect for me!! However, I have to be strict with myself else I'd buy everything!!TigerChris wrote: ↑Sat Jan 12, 2019 1:47 amShame that mate its a fantastic watch, and with 50% off very hard to beatEddieTheBeast wrote: ↑Sat Jan 12, 2019 1:29 am Thanks for all of your advise and encouragement guys
