^^ looks like Seiko hands with a slightly smaller hour hand to me. Not a fan at all and it looks like there aren't many other changes besides some small tweeks. I wish they would have gone for a more original design.

I was also tempted to think of certain models from the Seiko range but as I like Seiko then not a problem for me.....

looks interesting, Guy stopped off at Dickie Towers on his way to Auld Reekie and showed me the new MOD issued Elliot Brown Holden in the flesh - what a lovely bit of kit that is! , I was very jealous facing a weekend of dump runs and trying to get a handle on the wasteland that is our garden.

I will set aside some budget for a new CW for 2019 methinks - now the old c9 is heading back to Oz I am down to a broken C8 and the doris's old C60 300 which she is selling!

[Breitling Superocean Heritage is more appropriate notably as it has baton hour markers.

Subtle differences with the CW are a slim 'cricket bat' minutes hand and a longer, but again slim, arrowhead hours hand.

Good comparision with the Breitling.

The SBDC053 has baton hour markers as well so I should have used a picture of that. I have on these and the hands are unfortunately my least favorite design feature.

It's not a two part arrow like those, more like a single triangle.

I think it looks quite unique, and a good way forward from the onion hand.

And your old C5 is back from a service at CWT and working wonderfully! :D

The half minute which we daily devote to the winding-up of our watches is an exertion of labour almost insensible; yet, by the aid of a few wheels, its effect is spread over the whole twenty-four hours.

I know I might be in the minority here but I prefer the existing 'onion' hand

Please, waterdrop hand. Much more appropriate. :-) It takes a bit of getting used to but I like it now.

I like the arrow hour hand but cricket bat minute hand? Good grief. Did someone say “let’s push the envelope on the hour hand and wait, we’ve got these cricket bats right here!”? How about a pointy thinner arrow minute or a sword?

The only place you’ll see an arrow and a cricket bat together in the wild is .... <no suitable imagery springs to mind>

Yeah, I'll go with 'waterdrop hand' :D To me it says that its a Christopher Ward Trident, whereas the arrow says 'just another arrow hour hand'. I shall reserve judgement, though, until I've seen the complete package later in the year; it may look fantastic when its all put together.

The next GTG - Chat with Chris will take place in Manchester on Saturday 27th April 2019.

Move details to follow when know, but we learnt at the Edinburgh GTG that, as its launch will be fairly soon afterwards, details of the C60 Trident MkIII are likely to be released and discussed.
