It is planned for the Chat with Chris element of the GTG to be video'd, I'm waiting on confirmation from CW that this is arranged. Trusting this works out, we will aim to get it posted on the forum afterwards.

From Olivia at CW:-

"we’ll be recording the relevant segments of the event, including the ‘Chat with Chris/ the Co-Founders’ as video and plan to share this via our Christopher Ward YouTube channel as a Live stream. After the live stream ends, an archive of the stream is then saved to our channel and we’ll be able to share the link with you for the Facebook Enthusiasts and Forum to access."

Additionally, Declan will be attending and will have a selection of all of the ranges with him.

If you would like to see a particular piece please PM me and I'll forward your request to CW.

Does anyone who is going fancy a curry in the evening? There’s a decent curry house opposite Haymarket station, which is not far from the venue of the GTG. It would perhaps need booked for a Saturday evening.
Trying not to buy any more watches...

Welcome to the forum

The GTG is currently only being promoted on this Forum and the CWE Facebook Group and, as you have found out about it here, you're more than welcome to come along and join in.

Would you have to travel far?

Hi Guy,
I was planning to be in Edinburgh on the day anyway (travelling through from Glasgow) so thought it would be a good idea to make the most of the opportunity. I do not post much on the forum but do check it out on a regular basis. I am a proud owner of nine CW watches.
Regards,
Brian.

Belated acknowledgement Brian; sounds like a good plan.

I look forward to meeting you.

That sounds grand but I have to head home at 1730. :-(

Less than a week to go before the Edinburgh GTG.

We've got 16 due to attend from the Forum coming from far and wide plus, as far as I know, a similar number from the CWE Group.

There is though plenty of room in the SKYbar for us all, with space for more.

This is a great, and unrivalled, opportunity to meet and chat with the three Co-founders of CW, find out a bit about what makes CW tick and hear details of some of their upcoming releases.

If you'd like to come along, please just drop me a PM, including your full name.

This event is really tempting !

Just to be sure i checked the flights from Lyon (france ) to Edimburgh and the result was :
- 4 to 5 hours flight, at least 1 stop in paris or amsterdam
- 1000 euros (900 gbp)
- no flight back until 5pm on sunday.
- not to mention my wife wouldn't let me go there without her.

So unfortunately, i'll pass on this one. Are there other gtg planned ? I 'm not sure i read 3 gtg were scheduled but i lost the thread.

Less than three days to go until the GTG in Edinburgh.

If there is anyone who finds themselves at a loose end and would like to come along please let me know by PM. Full details are in the initial post in this thread.

The GTG will start around 2:00pm and the Chat with Chris, Mike & Peter, will be from 3:00pm onwards.

CW have advised me that the Chat will be streamed on Facebook Live (instead of Youtube). This will hopefully mean that more people who aren’t there on the day can still watch from wherever they are in the world. I will endeavour to post a suitable link on here, after the event.

See you all on Saturday.

Well, I was looking forward to watching/listening in but stupid social media platforms win over a platform that anybody can access. Beyond me! How can a facebook stream mean that more people can watch than You Tube? That makes no sense whatsoever to me. Can someone explain that logic please?

+2 Was looking forward to tuning in. When will people realize that not everybody is on Facebook? YouTube anyone can watch. Very disappointing.
